Great location with easy access to everything
Good experience and great location. Front office staff needs some training in communication. We stayed there twice in 10 days -- the first was not good from the front desk perspective, the second was great. Two different staffs.

Pleasantly surprised and wanted to stay longer!
After I was accidentally booked a room type that didn't exist, I was upgraded to a single suite! What a treat! This hotel room was bigger than my apartment at home! Two flat screen TV's, dining room table & chairs, large bathroom, two walk-in closets and a full kitchen! I wanted to spend more time in my hotel room, just to enjoy all the amenities. I was also pleasantly surprised by the great breakfast; including biscuits & gravy!

Great family getaway
We were in the KC area for a family event. This hotel was conveniently located. It was clean and comfortable.

Sometimes you get MORE for what you pay for!
This place was very clean, quiet, and I couldnt be more pleased with my stay here. The prices were super affordable and I have paid way more at hotels that weren't this great. I will be staying here again!!

We were there in Overland Park for the Bead Blast. This hotel was so impressive, the uniqueness of the appearance, the staff, just everything about it was so much better than what I have experienced at other hotels in different cities. The decor was very nice, huge closet, very clean, huge bathtub/shower unit. It felt more like an apartment than it did a hotel room. The staff was incredibly nice. I would stay there again and again. Five stars all the way!

Short drive from hotel
Lots of restaurants around, Sweet Tomatoes Buffet, Einstein's bagels, just a lot of places. There isn't a shortage of places for dining.

Wonderful Place to Stay, Very Unique, 5 stars!
First of all, just driving in to the hotel parking lot and seeing the place made me think of a ski resort. It was just beautiful! The lobby was so quaint and nice with a gorgeous blown glass bowl type of thing above a fireplace. When going to the room, it was like nowhere I've ever been. It felt more like an apartment pod type of situation. The landscaping was beautiful. It was like a garden in the middle, lots of neat trees, so many pretty plants, etc. The staff was so wonderful. The room decor was just great, not what you normally see. There was a really nice chaise that was so big and comfortable to sit in and use my computer. The bed was very comfortable. There was a huge closet. The bathtub/shower was twice the size of any other hotel I've ever stayed. I would stay here again and again, no question about it! Thank you, Hawthorn Suites ;D The city itself is beautiful, as well!

Short drive from hotel
When we made our dining choices, we intentionally went to places we don't have in Missouri. During our time there, we visited three places, Sweet Tomatoes, Einstein's Bagels and the Hereford House. Only the Hereford House had staff that were professional and exceptionally friendly. Just know your way around in the other two places because the staff (at least in my experience) was rude in the other two places, very rude.

It take a bunch of little buildings
It's a bunch of little buildings, confusing as to which one you are in. No ice or vending machines that I could find. The biz office was two computers tied to a printer that had a 20 minute countdown timer that was in your face all the time. it's okay but won't stay here again. hey no bed bugs that good...

A great deal
I've paid far more for far less. This hotel was quiet, clean, well-appointed, and attractive. If I'm ever in Kansas City again, I'll definitely stay there. It's not close to downtown, but I didn't want to be downtown anyway. For anyone wanting to go to the south side of Kansas City, I'd recommend this hotel.

Military Traveler
Single Travler Relaxation
As a single traveler passing through Overland Park,Ks it was a very liberating and comfortable time. The king size bed was unbelievably comfortable as well as the bath/shower. Nice quite environment for even more relaxtion. The front desk was more than kind enough to change room on the second floor for personal comfort. Breakfast was hot and delicious a bit short staff but friendly guests to overlook that inconvience
