I came to KC for a couple Dj gigs and I chose Homestead. The room was great. This trip was great. The hotel wasn't far from downtown KC & that's always a plus.

Not far from downtown. All the nightlife is only 10 min from the hotel.

Horrible experience
Of the three rooms that I was in, the only one at did not have odors in the room and stains on the chairs was the one that did not have a working lock. When I could actually speak to an attendant they generally had no clue what was going on in the general area or even their own hotel. Will never stay here or at other Homewood locations again.

did not realize it was an extended stay hotel when we booked for just the night but the fact that we were traveling in december it could have turned into a good thing with the weather forecasted for the weekend will definitely look for this type again and maybe make it a weekend stay being able to have kitchen there and not having to pay restaurant prices

The place is OK for one night. For the amount I paid, I could have gone to another place, get beakfrast included, pool, and check out time at noon. The place was crowded and noisy. The area is great. Just the inside of the rooms tells you that carpet and furniture is not that recent or clean. Unfortunately this weekend everything was booked up in the whole metro area.

late check out would have been nice.
I was okay with the room considering the very budget friendly rate. I was disappointed that no ice was available on site, I was told there was trays in the fridge for that but they weren't filled, which I was told was a issue with guest not wanting ice made by someone else, had to leave and drive to get ice. I was also disappointed in being refused a late check-out, I was told they were short housekeepers and needed to get all the rooms cleaned for incomming guest, considering they advertise the late check out availability as a feature, I was not pleased with haveing to rush back from church to check out by 11:00.
