Great Beds!!!

This place is new. The beds are fantastic, they are like memory foam. Very clean. Good breakfast, average, loved the waffle maker. The front staff could use better customer service skills or addl training. They did nothing wrong, except no smiles or how was your stay??? NOTHING from them whatsoever. Just need skills training. Been in customer service for 28 years, so this is very noticeable by me.

Longhorn Steakhouse is GREAT. IHOP sucks, and Freddys was great as was McCalisters.

Great addition to Manhattan!

My son attends Kansas-State University and we make 4 to 5 trips to Manhattan during the school year. This community is growing tremendously fast and is in need of new hotels -- The Parkwood Hotel is a welcome addition and we will definitely stay there again! The location was great - just a short drive to the campus and "Aggieville", rooms were clean and sleek, beds incredibly comfy. The only thing I found a little frustrating was the elevator - only one - very large though, but, extremely slow, and that's the only reason I give this hotel 4 stars instead of 5.

If you're looking for a very nice meal -- don't miss 4 Olives, it's Zagat rated, the chef/owner is incredible -- great wines and martini's, his wife makes all the desserts - fabulous!!! We make a point of going every time we visit Manhattan - just like the rest of the city -- every one is very friendly and helpful. KSU is such a gem -- a diamond that is being discovered -- great place to go!!!
