Comfort Inn I-70 Near Kansas Speedway

This hotel was on the inexpensive side, and for good reason. The hotel was supposed to be entirely non-smoking, but the room reeked of old cigarettes. The toilet was dingy and discolored on the inside of the bowl. The pool was the smallest pool I've ever seen and was only 4 feet deep and the "jacuzzi" could fit MAYBE three people. During check-in, the girl said our room number aloud (a BIG privacy no-no in the hotel business) and left the front desk unattended every time I walked through the lobby - once, she was outside smoking. The walls were incredibly thin, I could hear anytime someone was walking down the hallway, and I heard every step the person in the room above me took. When the person in the room next to mine was taking a shower, I couldn't hear the (old, outdated) tv over the loud sound of the pipes. All in all, it wasn't a terrible stay, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Clean nice hotel. Would stay here again. The flat screen tvs were nice and the beds were very comfortable.

Victoria at the front desk went above and beyond! The hotel has easy on/off access. The only thing wrong was that weren't any places to eat close. Victoria offred to call some for delivery to the hotel. As a woman traeling alone, it was very secure.

Single woman, traveling alone. The hotel was in a nice location. The room was clean and comfortable; the staff friendly. Good variety at breakfast. I would definitely recommend this Comfort Inn.

The pool size is the only negative (no swimming). This is a great place to stay. Staff was on the ball cleaning and helpful. Full breakfast was free, lots of different foods and they didn't seem to run out of anything, even with large numbers of people coming in and out of the area. Very convenient, right off of I-70, so easy to get going to tourist destinations in downtown, like Crown Plaza, which has a lot of shopping, the Aquarium and Legoland (East) or the Legends outlet mall and restaurants, soccer stadium and speedway (West, minutes away). The zoo was fun, but they do put the animals away before closing time at 5 PM as they led them away to feeding, so don't leave viewing to the last minute! We saw the giraffes from a distance, but didn't get to them before feeding time.

It was kind of run down. But if you get a deal its worth it

Great location, easy access to the Legends area. We found the room to be remarkably clean, the decor pleasant and modern. The bed, firm but padded, gave a restful sleep, the location of the air unit at the foot of the bed meant no cold air blowing directly over us. The amenities, the breakfast, with offerings of eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, muffins/donuts and coffee and juice was kept fresh and hot by an attendant. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will positively stay here again.

This hotel was rated 4 stars. At the highest I would give it two stars. It was a generic motel. It could certainly have been cleaner and more well maintained. They did serve an edible breakfast. But the pillows were as flat as the french toast.

The feel of an older facility trying hard to be first class. Easy to find and on our way. The receptionist greeted us pleasantly. She had our reservation and our room was ready. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast offerings were varied and nicely prepared and presented. Parking is convenient and a loading cart is provided.

We loved the location of the hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. Close to cabelas and the legends shopping center which we enjoyed. The actual city of Kansas city is run down and frightening, not a good place for a family vacation!
