Junction City Quality Inn
Good location right off 1-70. Close to Manhattan which was important on this trip. Several restaurants nearby as well as a 24 hour Wal-Mart. The hotel was clean and breakfast was above average. The bathroom configuration is small and cramped, especially with a family sharing space. Bathroom sink didn't drain properly. Hotel was very noisy on a Friday night - lots of slamming doors well into the night.

Short night's stay
The hotel has comfortable beds. The bathroom arrangement is odd - the door has to be closed in order to use the sink. When the bathroom door is open it blocks the sink area & mirror. The free breakfast was of the average fare - nothing extraordinary. The things I ate were fresh. The hotel in general seemed clean. I was only there from 2 AM to 8 AM. There wasn't anyone at the desk when I left. So I had to leave my signed copy & keys on the counter.

There's a Walmart & several small stores nearby. There's a Cracker Barrel restaurant at this exit - it would be close to a mile from the hotel.

Surprise party
We were in town to see our grandaughter & help celerate her husband's birthday. He is in the Army at Ft. Riley. After and evening of partying and bowling, we returned to the motel. The room was not comfortable for watching t.v. and the bathroom was so small you couldn't turn around in it. There was no book with the usual hotel info in it like where the ice machines were located & how to check out. We slept with the window open, and in the middle of the night were wildly awakened by a screaming train whistle a few yards from our room. At around 8:30 another screaming train whistle for a wake up call.

Very pleasant stay
I had a very pleasant stay at the Quality Inn. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were CLEAN!!! Now, I can handle bad staff but having a clean room is a must for me. Plus, there's more to do in that area. :)

There was a Wamart in a very short walking distance from the Quality Inn. Very conveniant for when I had a case of the munchies. :)
