Good value & amenities
Expanding my search to include Abilene, Salina, and Manhattan, I looked long and hard on numerous reservation sites to find a place in this area under $60 that didn't have a smattering of scathing and scary reviews. I finally chose this place because most of the complaints were about the beds being uncomfortable, which was in my mind a significantly lesser evil than the bed bugs, smells, and messes described elsewhere. Price wasn't the deciding factor for me, but this place was about the least expensive place in the area. What I can say is this: the bed was fine, my non-smoking room did not smell like someone had ever smoked there, the room had a refrigerator (it didn't hum obnoxiously) and a microwave and coffee maker, its TV had over 60 channels, I used the free WiFi with my tablet, the shower had plenty of hot water, I didn't hear the highway or anyone in the parking lot or people in neighboring rooms. The bathroom fan made a high pitched noise that was not pleasant, so I only turned on the bathroom light when I needed to. I didn't look for any sort of breakfast offerings. Other than a nearby gas station's convenience store, one would have to drive to find a meal. Would I want to spend time there during the day? Not really. Was it a fine place to spend the night? Absolutely.

WORK TRAVELLER friendley
The proximity to Ft. Riley is AWESOME!!! I travel for work quite often, this is one of the cleanest, quietest motels i have stayed at BAR NONE, Beds are just a bit hard and wish the ac units did not always run the fan,,but its a fantastic value,,and the staff is great to deal with (particularly the girl did not catch her name). Restaurants are nearby, neighborhood is quiet and descent..HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here if economy is for you.

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Many restaurants are one exit more up the hiway, with Wal-Mart..but the area is considerably busier,,makes this area much quieter to stay in. One other benefit is there is a good police patrol in the area it seems,,DONT SPEED AROUND HERE.

Cheapo Chain Motel
This place is fine IF you are totally on a budget. But the lobby is small, there is no room to eat the very basic continental breakfast, and this motel looks like an old 1970s Super 8 motel that is only moderately updated.

A Place To Stay
My stay was on 6/11/10 Room was by the stairs and the housekeeping closet. Heard noise for most of the stay. Hotel didn't seem crowded at all, so I belive I could've been given a better room. Maid came in 4 hrs after we arrived to put up a shower curtain that was missing from the bathroom. I would give them a D+ for friendliness.

Better rates if paid at hotel
The rates the hotel were giving others checking in at the same time were about $10.00 less than the rates given on Orbitz.
