Ramada Hays Convention Center

The pool was very nice... thought it was supposed to be heated though...Hot tub's heater not working...Slide was very fun though...Other than the pool area & the lobby, the rest of the hotel was very old & not well kept...The room was clean, but in need of renovation...not enough plugs for all the electronics in this day & age...Looks more like an 80s motel that was enclosed to become an indoor hotel...When we called for towels, it took an hour & a half to get them, but only because we hunted down the guy with the towels...no fridge in the room for our waters & snacks...when the a/c is running, if someone stinks up the bathroom & runs the fan, the smell is sucked into the room through the a/c, so you're better off using the bathroom in the lobby if you don't want to suffocate the other people in your room...carpet needed to be replaced, smelled musty...probably because all the swimmers have to return to rooms soaking wet because of towel shortage...Oh! & the remote was not communicating with the TV, so had to go old school & get off our lazy butts to change the channel or turn off & on...that sucked! If I ever return to the area, I will only stay here if it has been completely renovated, otherwise, I will go elsewhere.

This was a cheap room from a cost standpoint. The pool was a nice extra. My room was generally clean and the staff was helpful. It's was a good place to sleep on the way from point A to point B. Decor was outdated, a hotel way past its prime. But, I would stay there again if I just needed a place to sleep.

i had no problems,or concerns that would keep me from coming back.

the rooms were filthy hallway carpets filthy staff had no clue whole place smelled of chlorine faucets didn't work pillows were moldy bathroom ceiling caving in i can go on...... i'd rather sleep in my car i will never recommend a ramada to anyone

If I could rate this a ZERO I would! This was an absolutely ridiculous experience. The staff was rude and unwilling to help, the building had an overall feeling of uncleanliness and seemed rather run-down. As stopped to enter our room, the roof was leaking and dripping onto the landing above us, as well as right in front of our door. The room itself seemed dirty as well. One of the beds was sitting on top of a undersized bed frame, the room smelled musky, the floor felt damp, and you could hear water dripping onto the roof all night long. When we phoned the desk for assistance, our calls were unanswered twice. This whole place was a let down and definitely not worth our money. I would have rather slept our family in our car for the night. I've contacted customer service and their claims to restore the dissatisfaction with a refund have gone unfulfilled. Don't waste your time or money stopping here. Choose another hotel or choose another town!

The room was nice but the water slide was broke and the hottub was cold

This is not a hotel it's a motel and a terrible one at that. I can't believe Ramada would have their brand on this location and if the Hays location is the standard for this hotel chain then I would say Ramada won't be around much longer. The staff was actually accommodating, they changed my room three times however even their nicest room was awful. I didn't even shower in the morning because I felt I would stay cleaner not touching anything in the room I didn't have to.

I was attending a conference also located at this property. The conference accommodations were sufficient and the staff courteous. The property itself has some general maintenance issues and is in need of some repairs. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was not well-cleaned prior to my check-in. Overall rating: Adequate.

We stayed the night on our way through Kansas to get to Colorado. We weren't there very long, but I will say the room was quite comfortable and for the most part very clean. The tub looked a bit more worn down than usual but other than that, for what we needed it for, the hotel was more than acceptable. I'm not sure why there were so many bad reviews. Service was very good and the rooms weren't bad at all.

the staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel worked great for our family and pets. We would stay here again!
