A typical old motel. Needs bigger, comfier beds. Very dated and musty.

We came into town to go out for new years eve but ended up getting sick but the room was comfortable enough to just relax and try to get better. If I ever go back to Hays I will deff come back to Days Inn.

Great weekend hideout
We were in town to visit my son who is going to Fort Hays State Univ. We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay, yet not to an unknown lodging. What a great surprise! Rooms were very clean and comfy, the beds had fresh linen, and were the location was quiet. We got more than expected for breakfast. There were waffles, biscuits and gravy, juice, etc... Booking through Orbitz was ideal. Received a hugh discount because of them. Would make this deal in a New York minute if the occasion comes up again.

Short drive from hotel
Main street Hays has lots of history and signs are found along Main street telling stories of gunfights, General Custer, Buffalo Bill Cody, and the soldiers who walked the streets many years ago and events that took place on certain areas such as gunfights. Cool stuff.

Days Inn Hays
Hotel was perfect for the price we paid. It was quiet even though it was on a busy road. Our only complaint would be the small breakfast area.

The hotel only provide a very small full size bed for two people. But it says on the description when I booked it: Two double beds.

Below Standards
Hotel was not in good repair and had the smell of old musty. Charged me an extra $10.00 to move from upstairs to a downstairs room. Breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly [ other than the ten bucks ] Pool and pool furniture need a cleaning and repair. Old worn carpet decking.

I-70 Layover
The people that spent the night there must have had the same idea as I did that - it's only for one night. On the bathroom counter there was dust mites, dust, or something of the sorts that fell from the above vent. The vent looked like it needed to be cleaned. The hotel was on the main drag of town with lots of choices of where to eat. The continental breakfast area was too small for the crowd in the morning.

They didn't have all of the right information for the check-in, there was only one bed per room when it stated there would be a double.
