Staff stole $ from my purse in room
On Sunday morning before we checked out my husband left to gas his vehicle & I went down the hall to eat breakfast.I left my purse in the room since I was just down the hall eating.Upon returning to room,we noticed an item had been moved from night stand & placed next to my luggage stacked on desk. A 20 & a couple of 5's were taken from my purse and my Garmin had the back holder removed from it & placed in a different suitcase.My husband & I had both observed a male staff member trolling the hall repeatedly & going around the corner ,outside etc..We were in too big of a hurry to make an issue of it.We both had long drives ahead & just wanted to check out & leave.We will never stay at this hotel again.

Walmart is located across the highway, Sams club is being built right behing the hotel and Home Depot is across the street. AppleBees is right next door.

Very Friendly
The lady at the desk was wonderful. She was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and the price was very reasonable. The location was also an asset.

Great location, easy access
The AmericInn in Garden City, Kansas is ideal for travelers to that area. It is just off the highway, on a main artery of the city and is located right across the street from a Walmart complex. There is a great restaurant next door to the Hotel for easy dining. The rooms were exceptionally clean and modern as the hotel was built in about 2003. The staff was very helpful when asked about things to do in the city and surrouonding areas. A continental style breakfast is provided as in most better hotel/motels today, but theirs included more of the local flavor that most. The room we were in was larger than we had expected and the internet access was well provided for and easy to use. It was not wireless, but was highspeed as we had expected. Overall it was one of the better hotels we stayed in on out trip, and we plan to stay there again on our next trip.
