Not worth the price
Twice the price of other hotels in the area, and not worth it. I would recommend staying in Salina 25 miles away for better hotels at comparable prices.

Had a confirmed reservation for 2 queen beds, when we arrived at 1:30 in the morning, the only room available was 1 king. They offered us a roll away bed, but was expecting 2 beds.

The Kirby House in Abilene is rated as one of its best; it's a decent place for dinner, but would not make Zagat's ratings. The VERY best place to eat in Abilene is Sweet Daddy's for breakfast.

Pet Friendly
We travel with our Westie and were pleased to have a dog welcomed without fee. It was also nice to have a room that wasn't a pet reserved (smelly and dirty). There were several dogs on our hall and all were well behaved. This was our first stay in Abilene and we were there for several days to attend a family reunion.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
We ate at the resturant just next door where chicken is the focus and is all served family style . It was very good. Also near by was a DQ, Pizza hut and a BBQ place.
