Friendly staff.
The continental breakfast needs some additional choices. Room was comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. This is what I expect from a major chain.

first time visit
my friend and i were in need of a good hotel for a first time visit so we went with econolodge. it was a perfect pick. we were able to check in early because our rooms were already cleaned. there were never any disturbances. the rooms were clean and stocked. absolutely loved it. the employees were kind and friendly the minute we walked in the door:)

terrible
the hotel was stinky and dirty. The staff were not nice at all and told me I couldnt open the blinds after noon bc the bill would be too high. The manager is not the friendliest guy and did not want to make things better for me. The breakfast was a big joke, nothing hot just some cereal.

Caveat Emptor
Could be much much cleaner with very little effort... Our room had cat food on the floor, what appeared to be blood on the wall, spiderwebs in the bathroom, and dirty carpet throughout. Very disappointing. We stayed here because all other locations in town were sold out due to the football game. I think that is why everyone else was here too. I doubt if there will be many more second-timers...

Drive into town or down to exit 172 for food. Either way it is about 10 minutes.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. The refridgerator in the room did not work, but the manager on duty exchanged it with a working one. The breakfast was very limited, but I would stay there again in the future.

JUST OK
Continental Breakfast was sub par. Weak coffee limited choices. Beds were horrible, way too soft!

Chicago-bound
Think economy!
Easy access off I-65, just a couple hours from Chicago. Think economy (nothing fancy)and hotel will serve your purpose for a night's stay. Tucked behind a gas station and beside a Wendys. McDonald's across the street. Breakfast is cereal, bagel, and danish; oj/apple juice and coffee. Very minimal, but adequate. Room's a-c/heat unit did not appear to be functioning, but we were lucky in that we really didn't need to utilize. Rate was less than $50 for a double NS with interior corridors (small fridge/microwave included), so it was a decent value for the money. Area was safe; think agri-country.

spartan experience
clean and new. no elevator and room location was considerable walk including stairs to pull luggage
