Enjoyable stay despite power outage
I arrived on a Friday afternoon, in the midst of a storm-triggered power outage that lasted into the early evening and affected the operation of the hotel through the weekend. The young staff there handled the situation with a spirit of good cheer, helpfulness, and courtesy. The hotel itself is a clean, comfortable, affordable, no-frills place. If you're looking for good value, convenient location in the Valpo area, and friendly customer service, this is a terrific choice.

Moving Staff
Nice for One Night
I was disappointed when I first arrived at the hallway carpet that needed sweeping and the smudges all over the inside of the elevator, but the room itself was blessedly clean, if dated. Poor water pressure in the sink and the tub water control came off in my hand. Also had to call for a TV remote. Definitely not the Ritz, but comfortable enough for an overnight.

Nice hotel
the room was clean and the contential breakfast was the best I ever had. I travel with a work truck and my vechile wasnt bothered all night so that says something about the surrounding area

Great location, Friendly service
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff remembered who I was and why I was there. They even placed a phone call to me to make sure everything was okay in the room. The continental breakfast was really nice, too. I was impressed. They also carried Pantene products, which was a nice surprise to the typical bad smelling room shampoos.

Fairfield Inn and Suites Valparaiso
My husband and I stayed one night when we brought our son to begin as a freshman at Valparaiso University. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and the hotel was very clean and quiet. We had a room with a King sized bed and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was great and the hotel did provide soap, shampoo, conditioner and a blow dryer. There was also a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The whole hotel is non-smoking which we appreciated. Although we did not use the pool, it looked nice and clean. Breakfast was included in the morning and my husband loved the waffles. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations.

We were very pleased with the musical show we saw at the Opera House in Valparaiso. It was inexpensive and well done.
