Dated, Don't take a room in the "back" building
This was the best reviewed hotel I could find in the area, which does not speak well for the area. The front desk was frustrating. I waited some time while the people in front of me had social hour with the manager. Finally another person came out to help me. She tells me I'll be in the back building. I questioned why and was told the place was full. Problem is while standing in line the people ahead of me changed their room location several times. I didn't argue and proceeded across the parking lot to the back building. The back building reminded me of a crack house. Needless to say I went back to the front desk where she then realized my key was for a room in the main building. I guess she thought I needed some exercise. Front desk problem in leaving, there was no copy of my bill put under my door, so i had to wait in line at the front desk just to checkout.

Back home again
The check in experience was quite lenghy. Room cleanliness was very good. Finding a place to park at night was a problem.

I would stay there again!
Our room was nice, very clean which is important to us. We were there for a conference, food provided was only OK. We would stay there again!

This is an amazing older hotel that has amenities galore: a huge, inviting lobby, a huge and fantastic pool area, two restaurants, beautiful, spacious interior surroundings, a great bed and wonderful pillows, large room with all amenities. It has been updated and has old world elegance and charm.

Terrible.
The main hotel was crowded with two huge parties around the pool area so I couldn't swim, which is why I booked that hotel in the first place. They put me in a ground floor room in a separate building from the main building, not attached, then at 2:00 in the morning the toilet backed up and there was a mess to beat the band. This was a horrible hotel and I would never go back. I told the front desk the next morning and they said they were sorry that happened. That was it.

Not bad!
The check in was smooth. I was placed on a secured 4th floor - great for the most part. I had two dogs with me and that was a chore, but overall, not bad. Bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked, but it was okay.

Holiday Inn Terre Haute
i was attending the special olympics and was glad to find a room. The hotel room was smelly and a bit old.I was not very comfortable that I didn't have the option to not stay there after booking with [...]. If I hadn't allready done this and paid I probably wouldn't have stayed.
