Bad service
Awful stay
Everything was fine at check in. When we got back to the room we had a post it on the door that said to go to the service desk. We get to the desk and the lady said that we weren't in the system. She checked other guests into our room even though all of our belongings were in there. There was a pill on the floor when we checked in. Not sure what it was. To top it all off she tried to charge us for the room twice. I told her that we booked with [...]and she said it wasn't in the system. Even after I showed her the printout from [...]she still wanted to charge us. Not until i talked with her boss were we able to leave without being charged double.There was one positive about the stay. The breakfast was pretty good.

Good but not great
We were in the area for a funeral so our needs were minimal-a good place to crash for one night. The hotel looks fairly new and it is clean, the staff was very courteous and helpful and the 24 hour coffee availability was a nice touch after a long day. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very good and the breakfast room was clean and looked after and stocked very well by the staff and it was nice because the breakfast room was big and not crowded. Based on all of this the hotel probably rates a 4 to 4 1/2 star rating. The reason we rated it at 3 is because the hotel room we stayed in (Room 322) smelled very "stale" (for lack of a better term). It smelled like maybe at one time there was smoking allowed. We tried to freshen it up a bit by turning off the heat (it was cold outside) and turning on the a/c in hopes of getting some outside air in but that did not do any good. The "bottom line" recommendation is conditioned on the room air not being "stale" and the 1 comfort rating is based on the room air.

Good facility and location
Great facility. Very new. Clean. Great location with restaurants all around. Movie theaters in walking distance. Nearby stores as well.

There are two movie theaters up the street. If it is summer, you could walk to them. I would encourage driving if it is winter.

Hotel was great, shopping and dining very close(walking distance when the weather's nice)clean, quiet, relaxing atmosphere I for one will be back soon!

Great Hotel!!!
Great food all around hotel (Culvers within walking distance and nice restaurants within a short drive). The hotel was VERY clean and looked new. The breakfast was fabulous! Great assortment and very filling. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Staff were helpful too!

The Motel was an excellent experience. Friendly and very helpful staff helped releave the stress of clients that were in for a funeral in an area that they knew little about. When we arrived late the room was ready and an excellent restaurant suggested for a midnight dinner. The next day directions were printed out of how to get to the Church and to a tiny cemetery miles away, and eventually back to Midway. They were more than helpful. Thank you. P.S. The complementary breakfast was also very good.

A nice place...
The pool had just been "shocked" so the chlorine was overpowering. but the breakfast buffet was actually pretty nice!

Family Friendly
This was a nice hotel for a family. My children enjoyed swimming in the pool, although it was kind of small. The breakfast was good and offered a wide selection. The staff were very nice.

Nice clean hotel.
Was a good location for me as I was there to help with a fund raising event. But could also spend time in the Chicago area to see old friends. But internet connection is very important to me and that was very iffy.

Very Clean and Comfortable
The Holiday Inn in Schierville was clean, comfortable and I would recommend it. The area was a nice town and close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and other activities.
