Not a good Holiday Inn Express
The hotel entrance is right before a hill on a road where the limit is 40mph - so people are driving 45-50mph - so you have to be really careful and really fast turning into the hotel entrance. I booked this hotel because I have stayed with Holiday Inn Express before and always found them to be great hotels. I was staying for a dog show nearby and saw they had just recently started accepting dogs to some HIE's, so I happily booked it. My keycards quit working the second night of my stay, and when I went down to the front desk, nobody was there. I waited almost 30 minutes for somebody to show up, and finally called the hotel from my cellphone. The front desk attendant was apparently sitting out front with the portable phone the entire time I had been waiting, doing who knows what. She came in the door laughing hilarious like she found the whole thing amusing - I wasn't amused. She cackled the entire time she re-activated my keycards and never apologized. I complained to the front desk staff about her later when I was checking out and they were very nice and apologetic about it, but the experience definitely soured my view of HIE. Don't think I'll be staying with HIE for a while.
