Best Western visiting family
The hotel was very clean, modern but comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and eager to assist and please when needed. Very nice bathroom with sleek fixtures. The breakfast provided both hot and cold selections. It was very close to the beach.

The hotel was clean and very nice. I picked this hotel because it looked very new and had a nice pool for kids. We stayed for 4 days. I have 2 kids ages 8 and 1. We were in town from WI and forgot to bring a bed for the baby. The beds are very high off the floor so we had to buy a bed to use for the baby because the hotel did not have a crib or playpen (we travel a lot and most hotels have beds for babies) For the most part our stay was very nice. There were a lot of kids staying at the hotel and pool was a fun zone (very loud) so it would not be a good place for relaxing if thats what your looking for. Also, a little boy had a large accident in the pool on our second night and our family did not use the pool for the rest of our stay. The hotel has a nice breakfast room and good breakfast. The last night of our stay there was a thunderstorm and the power went out. The alarm clock did not go off in the morning so we were late leaving the hotel, but they do offer a wake up service that I wish we had used! For the price we paid I think it was a good value and I will go back again. The location is good and there are many dining options close to the hotel.

Review of Best Western, Portage, IN
I totally disappointed with this hotel. I booked it based on the rating but I was shocked. The room was very dirty, the staff were very rude. In fact in our room, in the microwave, we uncovered severely molded food in the microwave. The smell was so repugnant, we had to vacate the room for hours. I reported the incident to the hotel management and they were very rude. We were there for a two days and the hotel room was never cleaned properly. We were terribly disappointed with this hotel. I will think twice before I book another Best Western.
