I will never stay here again

The rooms that were non smoking reeked of smoke. Had to turn in dirty towels to get clean ones. I needed an extra towel for my hair, so I had to turn in a dirty one. When returning with the clean towel after carrying the dirty one through the hallway to the front lobby, I saw dirty towels laying in the hallway of another room down from where I staying. Ewwwwwww. Calling the state board of health on them.

Leisure trip

Room was nice. The only problem was the noise level. They sounded like wild horses running around above my room.

Not a great place

The desk clerk was rude & unprofessional. I did not stay there. They only had internet in the lobby

Beware dirty hotel

Worst hotel stay ever. We rented the jacuzzi suite, the room was dirty all the way around, bathroom was disgusting, there was some sort of mold or something nasty at the base of toilet. Every piece of trim was dirty . The bathroom trash was even full. Took pictures to show the manager in the morning and they could care less. They didn't give my wife the time of day and even threatened to call the cops because we were still in the room at 11:30am. Checkout is at 11am but the person working the night before said we could stay until noon but I guess didn't notify the manager. He came to the room and was extremely rude! The person working the night was not available all night, called 6times without an answer, finally found him outside smoking a cigarette, had to interrupt to get towels.could not use the pool because it was under 70 degrees! Oh btw the wallpaper was peeling off in all sorts of spot throughout the room. I would not stay again even if it was free. I could go on forever but I think I made my point!

wow - what an experience

If you want a hotel that loses one of your reservations, has mold in the bathroom, ripped and very worn carpet in the halls, staff that do not like their job, security doors that do not lock and rooms that smell like cigarettes, this is the hotel for you. Oh yes the pool was down and they drained it into the front parking lot out the window. The size of the room was the only good thing we could find. This was an experience that will not be forgotten anytime soon.

Wonderful!!

This Hotel was wonderful! The suite was big and roomy, it was clean and set up just right, yhe employees yreated you very well. Yheir breakfast had a variety to choose from and was either cold or warm. The location was set right outside of town but was close enough to places so if we needed supplies, food, gas, etc we didny have to go far. I think they did a wonderful job here and they got the best staff. Everything seemed up to date in the room and workin, not to mention clean. I will deffinantly be returning to this hotel and going for the suite again!!

Some inconsistencies!

My confirmation told me that I would not be charged when I got to the hotel, because I had paid on line. They told me that wasn't true and charged me there. I am waiting for my credit card statement to check. One reason we chose this hotel is for the indoor pool. However, the desk clerk on duty when we arrived told me that it was closed for a few days. Another desk clerk told me, when I was checking out, that it had been closed for months. The staff was nice and room clean but afraid to reserve on line as I think I'm overcharged.

Did the job!

For the price, hotel was fine. Yes, there are places where there needs to be some refurbishing, but overall things were clean. Breakfast was adequate and staff was cordial. I have stayed at plenty of places for more money, but not as good of an experience. Takes about 5 minutes to get to from I-70.

Number 2 Out 4 Hotels In Area

Pool being refilled after repairs. Never was warm enough to use. Clerk claims they had lightning strike that fried the FAX. They did not get our reservation. Fortunately (?) they had a room. Our next visit was elsewhere. Room marginally acceptable.

Hotel Heading Downward

The Garden Inn, New Castle, IN was a few years ago part of a national chain. Today the staff tries very hard to make everything right. However, age is showing on the building inside. AC was broken in the public areas. The staff did their best working in 100 degree heat. I asked for a do not disturb sign for the door. They could not find one. The room AC worked fine, WIFI no problems, and breakfast fine too. I was there for 3 nights. The hotel isheading to a 2 star in several areas. Price reasonable.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Walmart across the road as is 2 fast food restaurants. I-70 very close as well.
