The location was great. The pool was very good. The breakfast was cold. The bed was not very comfortable, and seemed to be pretty old.

Location was different even though it was on Bethel...not on the same Bethel strip as the other hotels I have stayed at in Muncie. The staff was very friendly and it was cleaner than I expected.

We stayed at the Muncie, IN Best Western for two nights while we were helping my son get situated at a nearby college. First of all, I am NOT a picky person, or a "neat freak" by any stretch, so it is unusual for me to complain. I've stayed in many hotels and this is the only one for which I have had a negative review. From the moment we walked into the hotel, I could tell that this place was dirty and not maintained well. It was apparent that the hotel is struggling to survive and cutting corners at every turn. Here is what we experienced: Positives: -Friendly staff -Allowed us to check in early -Easy check out Negatives: -The lobby, front desk and hall areas smelled terribly dirty - it seemed like they tried to cover over the smell with air freshener instead of actually cleaning,which made it worse. -The hall and room carpets smelled musty and looked very dirty; they apparently hadn't been cleaned for a VERY long time. -All of the doors to the outside on the ground level (except for the front door) were wide open when we arrived in the afternoon...as if they were trying to air the place out -The bedspreads and blankets were very old and seemed very dirty - I slept with only the sheet over me for fear of what might get on me (i.e. bed bugs or fleas) if I pulled the blankets up. -The refrigerator in the room was apparently leaking, because the carpet all around it was soaked -The TV reception/picture was terrible - wavy, diagonal lines across the screen. -The towel rack came apart and fell out of the wall when I removed a towel -The cover on thermostat came off when I opened it -There were cracks and holes in the wall of our room that were poorly patched -The walls were "thin" - we could hear just about every move in the room next door -The sink vanity top was painted (apparently to cover over some damage)- it looked terrible. -The continental breakfast had a limited selection, the cereal was stale. I didn't have much of an appetite anyway because I wondered if they handled their food the way they did the rest of the hotel. we ate breakfast out on the second day. If you want a cheap place to stay and don't mind a run down hotel that seems to be cutting corners on just about everything (including cleaning), then this is your place. However, I would suggest spending the extra money and staying at a nice, clean hotel.

Was in Muncie for a a RC helicopter event an this hotel was close and way to find. Very clean and was easy to check in, and your service helped veryucj!

visited with family, would have liked to been able after a long drive, to at least unloaded my luggage 20 minutes earlier, I was there 20 minutes before 3p.

The hotel itself wasn't bad, but the pool was closed. That was my whole reason for booking it. I wish I was given a discount because I would have went somewhere cheaper that didn't have a pool. I could have asked for a discount, but why should I have to. I would have changed hotels, but I got too busy. Not a complete disaster the room had a nice large fridge and microwave too.

we have stayed at this motel before and was pleased But this time the beds were in bad shape very uncomfortable my son slept better on the floor than in the bed But we enjoyed our weekend at the winchester speedway

The Best Western Hotel I staeyed at in Muncie, In, was probably the worst hotel experience I have had with hotels. I arrived about 10 minutes before check in and the lady behind the counter stated that the room wasnt finished and that i needed to come back, my response was, in ten minutes, she stated it should be done then. Well my family and I went up to the area Walmart and got a few goodies and came back at 3:35. I am checked in by a gentleman that seems to have been from the maintenance crew. He sends me to my room and its not ready, the housekeeping associates tell me, one minute, room done in one minute Well ten minutes later, we get into the room. Surprise!! Someone else stuff is in the room. The housekeeping associates asked us if its our stuff, umm no. I called to the front desk and explained to them that this room is occupied, he said he figured that it was sense he was unable to assign us the room. So we had to take all our things back out and my family waited in the hotel hall as i went downstairs to the front desk. Then in the same moment states that the people that were to leave at check out decided to stay another day. She proceeds to assign me to another room, gives me the keycard. Ok, switch baby to the other side of hip and wait longer. Then she puts me in another room.

Although I only stayed one night, it was clean with efficient check-in. The airconditioner unit was just a little noisy.
