Easy
I just needed an easy place to stay to cut down my drive to O-Hare. It was cheap and had easy access to the highway--beyond that, it was nothing special.

Just so so
The bed was lumpy and it was low at the top of the bed I had to sleep down at the bottom of the bed so I wouldnt feel like I was sinking it it. I had ordered up a king size bed smoking room there was none they put me up in a double ashtrays were not cleaned out

I felt the hotel was nice. A little old on the older side and the parking could use a lot of work. The room itself was fine, clean, and I loved the layout. Though in a non-smoking room, the hallways smelled terrible. They may want to invest in some fresheners that spray every so often. Overall it was good and I would consider staying there again if the need arises. Thank you!

Not Stroller friendly
Traveling with an infant we take our stroller everywhere, so we were very surprised to discover there are no elevators in the hotel. We had a room on the second floor and had a difficult time as a result. Although it was a non smoking room, we could smell cigarette smoke in the room and in the hallways. Walls in the room were in bad shape as if they had water damage and just painted over the bulging wall.

Nice to look at horrible to breathe in
The decor was fine except there was a red stain, looked like blood on one of the pillows which made me suspicious as to whether or not they changed the linens. There also appeared to be a problem with the ventilation system. It was suppose to be non-smoking but it reeked of smoke. The desk attendant sprayed but that did not help. I developed a scratchy throat, had difficulty breathing and after a few hours I had to leave. The following day I was hoarse and my throat was sensitive to touch and hurt. Somebody needs to check out the ventilation system.

Stay was as expected
The room was clean and the room was nice. The only complaint I had is that they were out of several things in their breakfast room.

If you want an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza I had a great thick pizza delivered to the hotel from Beggar's Pizza in nearby Crown Point.
