Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Merrillville

Very nice motel for the price. Beds and rooms were small though. We asked for a hidabed and they claimed that they couldn't give us one because the room was too small. I would disagree with that. Our stay would have been less crowded and more comfortable with the extra bed. Bathroom was also extreemly small. Breakfast was great and the personell very friendly. Would probably stay again, but would also check out some of the other chains in the area. All the major food chains and department stores were very close. So if you forgot anything, or are hungry it's a great location. One final thing, the property was very difficult to find. Signage on Rt 30 would be helpful. Mapquest told us to turn on a road that wasn't marked or was mismarked or didn't exist. Never did figure that one out.

The room was clean and quiet. It wasn't the Ritz, but was a decent value for the price. Staff was helpful.

This is an older hotel but very well kept. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. Our stay was very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My children and I took this little vacation for mothers day. We loved the spacious rooms and friendly and helpful staff. There was a great complimentary breakfast and an ovral most satisfing trip.

We stayed here so that we could party the night away in Crown Point without having to drive all the way home. The room was very nice. Very clean and roomy. We were just dissapointed that we only got to stay for one night. It is very convient and right in the middle of everything. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. It was a great experiance and we would definitly stay there again! Great value for our money.

We were very pleased with the Fairfield Inn in Merrillville, Indiana. I would recommend it highly to anyone interested in a cozy, clean, friendly hotel with a good location, close to the interstate, shopping, restaurants etc. They couldn't do enough for us, and that meant so much, and made us want to recommend this hotel to future visitors. The continental breakfast was well done, a variety of pastries, bagels, waffles, microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, fruit and juices and coffee and milk. Computer access in the lobby and additional food items for purchase for the guests in the evening. All in all, an excellent place to stay, comfortable beds and very pleasant cleaning staff. We Loved It!

The room at the Fairfield Inn was very comfortable, however, the fan on the heat/AC would not work on low speed, only on high or off. The free internet connection was bad. I kept getting kicked off line. The bathroom was small, no shaving mirror. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good, except they didn't have any waffle batter, just the waffle iron. Kind of disappointed about that. Great location. Plenty of restaurants nearby, shopping mall very close, and hotel was very close to I65 and US30, but in a very quiet area. Slept very good and quiet.
