Candlewood Suites LAFAYETTE

Everything is great exce pet it is far away from university.

My daughter had an overnight at Purdue scheduled and I needed a place to camp while she attended her program. I was so surprised by the Candlewood Suites. For under $100 before taxes, I had a clean studio with DVD player, kitchenette with full fridg, micro and dishwasher and a pool and gym. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room very clean. Due to bad weather I was allowed to check in early. It was not on campus but near all sorts of food and shopping. For the 24 hours my daughter had on campus, I was happy in a clean room with options all around. It also was right off the highway for those traveling.

We had hoped to stay on campus but Candlewood Suites was the only hotel that allowed pets. We never travel without our Furfriends. We had to take a taxi to and from campus and that was expensive but well worth it. Our room was very clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. I can be very picky when it comes to lodging and I was very impressed. The only reason I wouldn't recommend the hotel is if you are wanting to be near campus.

We stayed here for three days and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff were very accomodating and more than helpful. The interstate side of the hotel was somewhat noisy but other than that it was a very nice place to stay. The location was very central to where we needed to go also.

The hotel is in a good location and the room is very nice with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and even a stove top. The bed was OK (a little mushy). You can hear the traffic noise from the close by Interstate but it is not overwhelming. They only "make up" the rooms once a week so expect to pick up after yourself if staying for an extended period of time.

I had to have some work done at Clarion Arnett Hospital,And needed a place for family to be comfortable while waiting,This was perfect! This was close to hospital and has everything we needed on site.

Candlewood hotel and suites is a very nice hotel. It was very clean and i loved the granite in the bathroom and kitchen. You can rent free DVD's from the desk and help yourself to the snackbar. Theres also a nice size pool and fitness room. The snackbar is always open and the staff is helpful and friendly. the nearby restaurants and entertainment is many. The only think the candlewood lacks is a continental free breakfast, wich for the prices of the room is something that should be offered. Our stay was nice.

Great location for a weekend vist with your Purdue student--many restaurants nearby and short drive to the campus.

2-nite stay for Purdue Homecoming. Easy and straight shot (about 15 mins) to Purdue Campus via Rt 26. All the shopping and restaurants you could hope for within a mile or two of the motel. Very clean, appeared new. Nice facilities, including the fitness room. Rooms spacious with full fridge/freezer, m/w, dishwasher, 2-burner range, great climate control, VERY comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom very clean, and nice work area for business or leisure travelers with complimentary wireless internet! High on my list of favorites for future returns to Lafayette for visits to Purdue. Would recommend this motel to anyone. ONLY negative I had (and it was not a biggie) was because of it's location right next to I-65, if your room faces the west (I-65 side), the noise from the Interstate may bother some. I was fine though...sound baffling or acoustic insulation seemed adequate!
