Figured it was just for one night and I could bare it. Again as other reviews have said about this hotel, the staff is friendly. The rooms cleanliness is just questionable. Booked a non-smoking room yet the smoke smell was everywhere. Missed the location on the gps and had to make a loop around.

u get what u pay for most times.
motel 6 has a courteous staff. room was clean. i am a smoker, and requested a smoking room. that is the only real complaint i have. i had to leave the door open because the room smelled so bad. it was clean, there were no bed bugs. the linens and bathroom were clean, but the odor even for a smoker was very strong. but oin the other hand., all i needed was a place to sleep and for the price it was a great value. especially considering the fact i was only 2.8 miles from downtown louisville. so it is a gret bargain. i will stay there again. 2.8 miles away the cheapest hotel i could find was 3 times the price. i will just request a non smoking room next time and go outside to smoke. but a good value for the money concious person.

make sure if u have a navigator that it is updated before you leave. i ended up driving 16 miles for dinner when i cud have eaten at the same establishment just 3 miles away..lol

Derby fan
Terrible
Horrible hotel, but nice staff. Would not recommend it to anyone and I will never skimp on hotel rooms for the Derby ever again. The staff were very helpful and helped process my refund when I checked out early the next day.

Basic but good
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. No frills included (hair dryer, kleenex) at this hotel but the price was good for a basic room.

Eat at one of the restaurants along the Ohio River, just a short drive away.

Very Good Value
Very clean. Very friendly staff. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping, Churchill Downs, and Louisville. If you want an inexpensive, clean place to sleep, this is the place. Very few amenities, so if you are looking for frills and are willing to pay for them, do not stay here.

There is a Dollar General less than a mile away. I bought a $10 coffee maker, coffee, & filters. You can get whatever you need there pretty cheap. There are many dining/shopping choices all within 1.5 miles of the motel.

Great price for the basics!
We were attending a music concert while in Louisville. The staff was very prompt and courteous with my check in. Honestly, the only complaints I would have is the rooms were a bit smaller than I have been in before, and the location of our room was right in front of the pool and right beside the front office. After our long night, we wanted to get some rest but was occasionally woken up by kids romping around in the pool.

In Town to Party
Great for the price during Derby Weekend
We needed a place on the cheap for Derby Weekend and this was one of the cheapest so we figured it would be really bad. But we were pleasantly surprised- clean, fairly new shower, friendly staff, $15 cab ride to downtown Louisville. We would definitley stay here again for Derby Weekend.

Flat rates for cab rides on Derby Weekend. To go to downtown Louisville cost us $15, to come back cost us $25. Find a cab company that uses the cheapest flat rate.

Good deal for the price
Small rooms but very clean. No musty smells and no bugs. We were only in the room to sleep so it was a great place for the price.
