Campus hotel features on-site dining and convenient downtown access
Located on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), the University Place Hotel and conference center provides 4-star accommodations and an on-site conference facility certified by the International Association of Conference Centers. Swim Parent
Swim meet weekend in Indy
The hotel was clean and the location was perfect for access to the swim meet on the IUPUI Campus next door to the hotel. Unfortunately for us, the NFL New England Patriots were checking in on Sunday evening, and it proved to be very inconvenient for the weekend guests as the hotel made preparations for the upcoming Super Bowl team. Also, the service was surprisingly poor in the restaurant and bar. I will not stay there again.

Friendly Indy Hotel near IUPUI
I recently stayed at University Place Hotel while in Indianapolis for a medical school interview at IUPUI. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, and the location was perfect for walking to campus in the morning. Overall, a great experience!

On a recommendation from the hotel staff, we ate at the Weber Grill. Their "Farm Burger" was fantastic, as was the wait staff. (Take free hotel shuttle to get there or walk if you are ambitious!).

Wonderful experience
We were treated as special guest from the moment we arrived until we left. Your staff was friendly, accomodating and informative. The room was beautiful and clean. We will definately return to your facility. You made our "out of town Christmas Holiday" wonderful!

SERVES A VITAL NEED
LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE INDIANA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL, AND EVEN CONNECTED BY AN OVERHEAD WALKWAY, IT'S A LIFESAVER FOR OUTPATIENTS,SUCH AS I, WHO CANNOT DRIVE THAT DAY. THE REDUCYED RATE, FOR HOSPITAL PATIENTS, WHILE HELPFUL, IS STILL RATHER HIGH, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE $18/DAY PARKING FEE. BUT, AGAIN, FOR ME IT WAS THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN, AND I WAS HAPPY TO FIND IT, AND EVEN HAPPIER TO FIND YOUR DISCOUNTED RATE.

Native Hoosier
Being on Campus Near Downtown Indianapolis
The IUPUI campus ,has grown enormously in the last 20 years and so a 10 story hotel next to the University Hospital makes a lot of sense. But the location is surprisingly close to downtown Indianapolis and many local sightseeing spots. The building is modern. The rooms are amply furnished, including a free refrigerator and well wired for Internet use. Overall, the daily rate is more than reasonable although parking, in a convenient underground lot, adds another $18 a day to the bill.

Shapiro's Delicatessen a mile to the south and a mile to the east is one the best delicatessens between New York and Chicago,

I did not realize until we arrived that there is a complimentary shuttle bus that will drop you off in various places in downtown Indy.
