Decent Hotel Stay, But???
Overall for the price is was a decent hotel, but there were some problems. When we arrived to check in had to wait for over 5 min till someone came to the desk. The shower heads were not for people over 5 feet tall (I'm 6'2" kept hitting my head and had to kneel to wash hair). The shower become scalding hot if someone else in another room used water or flushed the toilet, got burnt 4 times. Everytime you turned tv on it turned on at maximum volume. Outside those problems the room was clean and was very quiet.

Indy 500 Traveler
A little strange...
This hotel is connected to a hospital. Which is fine, except that they don't tell you that when you book. So it came as a bit of a surprise. Also, the rooms are a bit run down, not super clean.

Comfortable room
I only used the room for four hours. Didn't get there until 5am and left at 9am. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice.

Somewhat Dissatisfied
There's not much I have to say about my stay at the Marten House Hotel. What I can say is that it's far away from Indianapolis Airport which is a big negative. My cab ride from the airport to the hotel cost almost 50 dollars. Second, when I checked out, I wasn't asked if I enjoyed my stay or offered the opportunity to complete a visitor satisfaction survey. All they did was check me out and ask me to pay for my local calls. Also, there wasn't any shampoo, mouthwash or toothpaste in the bathroom. I'm not sure if that's worth noting, but other hotels I've stayed at included these itmes in their bathrooms. Besides all that, it was an okay hotel. I wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't really discourage anyone from staying there.

Nice, but nothing special
The Martin House was clean and kept up. The room was also fairly spacious. The only reason that I didn't score it higher was that it was pretty plain. Also, the rate was inflated significantly because it being the weekend of the Brickyard 400. I've stayed in a lot nicer places for the money.
