Decent place to stay for one night

The facility wasn't much, but if you need a relatively inexpensive stay for a night or two this fits the bill.

Decent place for one or two nights

If you're only looking for an overnight stay or two, and don't need any flash, this place works fine.

Fine location, clean. Weak Internet

Our room was clean and accessible. The Internet didn't work while we were there, though, which is difficult as we work from the road.

Sketchy hotel

Well first off, we arrived at this hotel to find hardened feces on our toilet seat, which I had to clean because the housekeeping staff had already left for the day! Next, we were promised free wi-fi, but it didn't work. We were given a 1-800 number to call but the agent there said they didn't support this Red Roof Inn, and gave us another number for someone in New York! This gentleman couldn't help us and said to try back tomorrow; it seems the internet was down. We were also promised continental breakfast both days, but they don't even offer it. They have 2 pots of luke warm coffee and whitener only. The clerk confirmed they don't offer anything but coffee. There were no bath towels in the room, and when I called the front desk, I was told I would have to go to the desk to get them because they don't deliver and that housekeeping had already left for the day. There was no hair dryer or iron, as usually in hotels these days. It was a good thing I had thought to bring my own, just in case! A "sketchy" guy kept going past our room and trying to make conversation with us (we are two single girls and this made us a bit nervous, obviously), and we would hurry back into the safety of our room and lock the door. On the first night we awoke to the police banging on the door of the room next to us at 2 am. The next night there was a big commotion outside our room about midnight - we didn't open the door to see what was going on, and about 45 minutes later they were gone. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I've had better 2 star hotels in Cuba. There is a La Quinta and a Holiday Inn Express across the road....I think I would pay a little extra and stay there next time.

Not Good!

On my reservation it said check in was at 3:00 p.m. I showed up at 3:15, I stood in the night check in area because the door was locked to the other half of the front office. I was told my king room was not ready. I could have a room with two double beds. I asked how long it would take for my room to be ready. I was told by the lady at the front desk she didn't know. I asked her to call her cleaning crew on the walkie-talkie. She said she could only call them on her cell phone. I said call then and she finally did. Low and behold they had a clean room with a king sized bed. The lady did apologize that the rooms were not done by 3 but stated it wasn't her fault. While getting my room I looked at the carpet and it was horrible. The staff must not know you should also vacuum and clean the carpets in the office. I drove around the building which did not seem kept up very well. I saw trash and dead leaves everywhere. The grass or rock landscaping wasn't kept up at all, I couldn't tell if the grass was dead and rocks have made the way into the grass area or if the rocks have had grass and weeds growing up through them. I walked into the room to an unusual smell, maybe a cleaner with with musty water? The bed was made and seemed clean. So I laid down and napped. When my wife arrived we looked at the room. I saw dead bugs in the bathroom, the tub wasn't clean, burn marks on the bathtub. Part of the TV casing was melted possibly by a cigar. One wall had three shades of paint on the drywall. Either the bed had been there before or they repaired a water leak on the tub. The carpet didn't appear clean but cleaner then the office. My wife and left for dinner. There was a gentlemen sitting in a fold out chair outside of his room having a few bud lites about two rooms from us and some kids with there back packs down at the end of the building. I wondered if this was an apartment complex or hotel. That's when My wife almost stepped on the old used condom. When we got back at least the complex was quiet and we slept well. This place definitely needs a remodel and a new cleaning crew.

Low-rent hotel, but OK for attending the Indy 500.

I booked four rooms for a group trip to the Indy 500. Two of the non-smoking rooms stunk of smoke and we had to immediately get them changed. All of the rooms had a bit of an odor. No breakfast is included, but the hotel is within a short walk of a McDonald's for breakfast and a Starbucks. No lobby either. You can walk across the street to the LaQuinta, which has a bar. Pretty much a 1.5-star hotel in need of lots of attention, but about the only thing under $100 for the Indy 500 weekend that is not 15 miles out of town.
