Nice motel, good value

We stay in Castleton several times a year while vising family. Compared to other motels in the area, this one has pretty much all that we want in a motel and is a better value. Staff is friendly and helpful, there is a hot breakfast, choice of external or internal entry, good location. Only drawback for us was the lack of exercise room.

Noisy

I advised the reception that room 133 (where I was staying at) is not supposed to have guests in it: extremely noisy with other guests going up and down the stairs, plus the from the pool. Guests were utilizing the stairs until 4 AM and then again at 6 AM so you can imagine the amount of sleep we got. The receptionist just looked at me and do not full any accommodations. So if you stay there, please please advise the hotel staffs not to place you near any stairs or the pool. I already forgive them that the room was very old and very simple but the noises are not forgivable.

In time of need

I was traveling with my 21 year old daughter to attend my brother's funeral. So we arrived very late at night and the staff was very welcoming. Due to our circumstances for being there, we never did have a chance to enjoy the free breakfast but we knew it was there if we wanted it. The room was fine and we sleep comfortably. We were there for three nights and during the stay, other guest arrived that were very loud - revving up big huge monster trucks late at night and early in the morning. Our door was a bit damaged from the outside so it didn't automatically lock when closed, we had to really pull it or click the deadbolt which wasn't a big deal. This was actually helpful when we had to go back and forth loading the car. :)

Average, inexpensive hotel

The Quality Inn worked just fine for the night. My only issue is that I didn't realize that access to the hotel wasn't indoors - doors opened outside. However, it was a good location - near the highway and many resturants so I didn't worry about it too much. The high-speed wireless Internet access was great. Worked well for being in town for business for a one night.

Cheap & Dirty

Did not stay in the hotel room much. Only slept there. The bottom of the shower was stained and dirty, shower curtain was the same. Hotel lacking cleanliness. Room was fairly priced for quality of stay.

Served it's Purpose

I had read some negative reviews about this hotel, but still decided on it anyway. I was not disappointed with the hotel at all. That is to say, it served our purpose. It was clean and affordable, and the king bed was large and Very comfy. The room itself could have used some updating little fixing here and there, but it was evident that they were improving the property. (signs of fresh paint, etc.)Everything in our room worked just fine. The pool was on the small side, but we didn't use it and weren't there to, so it didn't matter. The breakfast in the morning was sparse. Standard fare bagels & toast, two choices of cold cerel, some yogurts, a waffle maker and juice machine. I do not drink coffee but my partner said it was Very good. The staff was friendly. All in all, it served it's purpose as a weekend room for the Indy MotoGP event. A good price for decent accomodations. A bit far from the track, but very close to the freeway. The one jewel we found was the Loon Lake Lodge restaurant that is a Very short walking distance. (the two parking lots are connected by a little road) Excellent Place ! Highly reccommend it ! I could go on about it, but this is about the hotel. :o) Which I would say on a 1 to 5 scale was a solid 3. Not spectacular, but not a dump either. Just your average, good for the money, weekend stay hotel. I'd use it again.

ok but needs remodel

we were visiting for multiple reasons. was great location-near highway and where we needed to be. desk staff were very nice and helpful. room decor was ok-out of date but dark with poor lighting. mold in bathroom and tub stained. looked like they had been working on room next door so maybe will improve. breakfast was the usual-waffles, cereal, yogurt. needed fresh fruit. been in much worse but likely to skip next visit
