We went out to dinner and there are many great restaraunts to chose from. The shopping was great. It was raining but we ... barely had to go outside the way everything was connected. There were plenty of bars to attend in the evening for a couple of drinks. It was just a great a setup for no matter what you did.

We ate dinner at St Elmos, based on a couple of recommendations. I had high expectations, but it did not meet them. We were initially seated in a very noisy area. If you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner, this is not the place. The staff did move us to another table and it was quieter, but you were still seated right next to other people. Overall, the food was really pretty good. We had their famous "firey" shrimp cocktail..which was definately "firey". The amount of fresh horseradish used in the sauce was enough to burn my nose and make me want to sneeze. I doubt I would order that again. The filet mignon was pretty good, slightly under cooked compared to how we ordered it. On a positive note, the service was great. For the amount of money we spent on dinner (140 bucks before tip), I would expected it to be better.

We recently stayed at the Canterbury and the Omni was much nicer. It was in a great location next to restaurants, the Circle ... Center Mall, and various evening entertainment. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to stay in a nice hotel, have dinner, and enjoy the downtown night life.

We attended a wedding reception at the Omni and spent the night. All the accommodations were first class. Our room was a ... little small, but adequate. The king size bed was awesome and I slept like a baby. The hotel is in a perfect location downtown just a couple blocks from everything - Lucas Oil Stadium, Circle Center Mall, Conseco Fieldhouse, etc.

This was an overnight get away. The room was very comfortable and large. Shopping and fine dining was literally across the ... street. Valet parking cost $25.00, but that is not unusual in the middle of any city. My only complaint would be that our view was of the air conditioning units.

Lesson Learned
Lost customer Jul 26, 2009
The only reason I gave it one star is because I couldn't give it negative stars. Reserved a king bed, paid for a king bed, ... got a queen bed. Hotel blamed Orbitz, Orbitz blamed hotel. Bed was like a pile of plywood, room was barely big enough to walk around the bed, carpets were dirty and stained. With all of the nice options in downtown Indy, I highly recommend avoiding this one. Valet staff was extremely nice and I really liked the soaps, but I'm not sure those are reason enough to go back.

Great weekend getaway
David Sep 1, 2008
The Omni Severin hotel was a very comfortable and classy place to stay. The hotel lobby is very impressive in size and ... furnishings. I like the way the dining room and bar, as well as gift shop and sitting area were located near the front desk...but not too close. The valet and hotel staff were very accomodating. The valet parking is extremely convenient and a great deal for downtown Indianapolis. We simply called a few minutes before we needed our car, and when we went outside it was waiting for us. The hotel room was spacious and clean. I liked the large walk in closet, that frees us room space. The location is awesome, within walking distance of Circle Center Mall, Conseco, Lucas Oil Stadium and dozens of restaurants and bars.

The Omni Severin Hotel was in the perfect location for our downtown Indianapolis activities. The short walk to the RCA Dome ... was appreciated, as were the many quality restaurants within walking distance. It's even connected to the Circle Centre Mall. The room was small, but very clean. The same goes for the bathroom. The bed with nice pillows, linens, and down comforter was comfortable.
