Motel 6 Indianapolis South

Staff was very nice as always at the 6. The room was a different story. The only good thing was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever seen in any motel. Other than that it was bad. The smell of pet urine was overwhelming until I got used to it. The carpet was filthy. Overall I was not at all happy but stayed due to the price.

The sheets weren't clean and there was empty beer bottles under the beds.....

The room was actually missing two light bulbs, and tissues. The room reeked of smoke though it was supposedly non-smoking. The sink had cigarette butts stuffed down the drain causing it to plug, the cold water didn't work at all, there was a bucket under the sink (dirty bucket!) and a huge crack around the bottom of the sink. The blankets on the bed were stained and ripped. The carpet was disgusting, and the walls were paper thin! It might have been a cheep hotel but the necessary up-keep was just non-existent.

The motel was in a convenient location (right off I-465). The staff was very helpful and friendly. As soon as we entered our "non-smoking" room, we found that it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We opened the door for the first hour we were there to clear the air. We found that the TV's color was messed up. This didn't matter much because we spent little time in the room. In the end, although I was happy with the price, location and staff, I don't think I will stay at The Motel 6 on Elmwood rd again.

Carpet was not vacuumed and had multiple stains; bedspreads had cigarette holes and rooms smelled like smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room; toilet was not fastened to floor; light bulbs were burned out; bathtub surround piece was cracked; blankets were stiff and old; had to ask for enough towels - only had one on second day there, with 4 people registered for room.

I needed to reconnect with myself unwind, and relax. They provided me with a stress free no interuptions free wekend. The staff let me be I called when i needed something and they delivered. Also it had snowed and they kept it cleared off for the guest, rooms were clean up keep was great. Just a pieceful relaxing weekend. Bed was huge the bathroom was off to the side. Interstate access, gasoline access close to several nice resturants.

My stay here was everything I expected. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. It had a small tv with a limited selection of channels, HBO being one of the choices. The heater worked. The room was cleaned, but not clean. It was obvious that the low traffic areas had not been vacuumed in a while. There was no attempt made to clear the ice from the outside stairway or the parking lot. No area information in the room. The tub was scarily slick and the shower head barely had pressure. Make sure you don't leave your shampoo at home or you'll be buying them from a vending machine in the lobby, which is locked at night. All I wanted was a warm place to sleep while visiting friends and that is all I got. I wasn't expecting more, except maybe a 1oz bottle of shampoo! Don't go to this hotel expecting anymore that a roof, bed, and basic utilities and you will be satisfied.
