Nice Place, Nice Price

We only stayed for one night in this hotel that is very clearly designed for a longer stay (kitchen, dining, living area) but we enjoyed our room. The view out of the window wasn't anything to write home about - it just faced the other side of the building, but again, not a big deal to us. If I wanted a nice view, I would request one. They do serve complimentary dinner and breakfast. The breakfast was good, we didn't try the dinner as we had other plans already. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Overall, we would stay there again and recommend the hotel to others.

downtown Indy--our first visit

Beautiful hotel in downtown Indy with huge rooms and wonderful amenities! I'm guessing the hotel was originally two tall, narrow buildings joined together--you can see the "seams" where beams, exposed brick, and even exposed stone (in basement) are visible. The result is enormous rooms that come with a sitting area and full kitchen--more than enough space for my daughter and I. Complimentary breakfast served daily, very nice; a sort of complimentary dinner is served each weeknight--we were not able to take advantage of this, but the menu changes daily and it looked pretty impressive. Computers near lobby are always accessible. Room service is available from restaurant around the corner--food was not good, but it was convenient when we needed it. My daughter and I visited Indy to tour colleges; not knowing the area, we opted for a downtown hotel, but found that our interests lied more in the Broad Ripple area, which one must drive to. Be warned; parking is difficult in downtown Indy--expect to pay an additional $27 per day for valet parking at this hotel. The up side is that you can send a text to request your car, which they will have ready and waiting for you on the street--so if you must do valet, this is the way to do it.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

The Broad Ripple neighborhood is kind of bohemian and quirky, and fun to explore. The Kurt Vonnegut museum is within walking distance right in downtown, and is surprisingly fascinating and pleasant for its tiny size (and free!) Parking is tough and enforcement is strong, so feed your meter!

Ruined us for all other hotels on our trip

This hotel was great. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a King with a sofa sleeper on the first floor, next to the breakfast room, lobby, and elevator. Think it was noisy? Nope. Sooo quiet. I was really ready to demand a different room but couldn't the lack of outside sound. We even overslept for breakfast the first day. The staff was very friendly, personable, and genuinely attentive. The hotel was busy and we never lacked for food, a towel at the pool, coffee, or water. The popcorn in the room was a fun bonus and we loved having the kitchenette. The internet was speedy so we were able to keep up with our work while on vacation. When we went to our next hotel, a BRAND NEW Hampton Inn, we were disappointed with the room size and perks. The Homewood Suites spoiled us rotten and we will now try to stay at this line of hotels from now on.

Great downtown Indy hotel

I stay at this hotel a few nights every year for different events and attractions such as going to the zoo with the kids or Colts football games with the wife. Great location, great staff, and the rooms are pretty cool with a mix of an older building that's been remodeled.

Birthday weekend

The room was very spacious and clean. The only drawback was the lighting. It was a little too dark for my liking. The pool was beautiful and the water was warm. Loved the fact that it is across the street from The Spaghetti Factory YUM!! Would stay there again!
