Clarion Hotel

Over all ok. Getting close to needing an overall up date. Hot tub needed cleaning bad but pool was ok. Breakfast was horrible. Room was clean & ok but could use a new TV - Pretty old. Over - all ok for the price. Food in bar was excellent.

I realize that you get what you pay for. I was a bit surprised that the hotel has a 3 star rating. By who's standard? The Hotel was musty smelling and the room was somthing along the lines of a Red Roof Inn. Had I been aware of the state of that hotel I would have paid 20-30 less for the same style of caliber room. The room was in desperate need of updates. I felt as if I had jumped back to 1980 with the wallpaper border in the room with the flourecent lighting and the console TV. Staff was friendly and courteous. Could have done without the Baptist Revival Wake Up call first thing Sunday morning. If you are going to host such an event (revival) in the meeting room off the lobby and the parking lot is that empty on saturday night I feel that you could have given me a room further away from the fire and brim stone service being held in your lobby. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.

Located in an area with limited restaurants and I didn't feel completely safe in this location. checked out after one night losing money on the reservation.

Well, the room wasn't very modern,V. The bed was not very comfortable. The toilet, shower, etc was not modern either. I asked for non-smoking room and got a smoking room. We didn't get our room cleaned. The front desk staff however was excellent. They were very friendly.

Hotel staff was GREAT, but don't expect anything beyond that. Filthy rooms, everything including the walls and furniture were stained. The t. paper dispenser was broken as were several lights. Cobwebs abound. It is very close the the IMS, but I will never be back.

Condoms with safe sex info in a package tucked at the top of sheets next to pillows. What in the world are they thinking? Can you say "No Class?" And who would use condoms that were "issued" by someone you didn't know, and no history of the individual foil packets, (there was two different brands and one packet of personal lubricant). Let's call this place "booty call hotel" Hotel needs to be closed and have extensive remodeling done. There is no reason to have carpet that old, that smelled so badly! Also the secondary exits and entrances glass doors should be cleaned, let's say once a year. By the looks of them it had been a few years. And what does it cost to clean and some fresh paint? Lastly, the bed spread in my room (347) was badly soiled. Down right frightening! Listen I am a 46 old X-Marine and let me tell you, I have know what dirty is and sleeping in bad places are truly like, and I am well traveled so I know what's what. For a $150.00 night's stay they fell well short of offering value. Only up side was the location to the Speedway. Five minute drive.

We liked how close it was to track. We did not like the running toilet that kept us up the first 2 hours. Had to keep bathroom door closed till we left.

It had been a long week. Was really looking forward to getting to the motel to relax. Thought about the pool and whirlpool all day at work. Could not wait to get off work. Finally after working all day Saturday. then driving two more hours we get there. Check in go to our room, change into swim suits head down to dome area. Turn the button for the whirlpool to start up. Much to my suprise nothing happens. Get out go to front desk, tell them i must not know how to work whirlpool. They say no , it is just not working right now. Well you can imagine my disappointment, had been looking forward to that all day. But it was not once mentioned when we checked in. That was the one of the main reasons for picking that motel in the first place. I was very upset and disappointed for the rest of my stay.

I was "upgraded" to a king suite on arrival at no charge. The staff was very friendly and professional. I used the fitness center which was equipped with all state of the art equipment. Indoor pool was well kept. My "king suite" was immaculate; I will definitely send my friends and family there. The purpose of my trip was a job relocation (drove from Florida) and the hotel was literally walking distance from my new neighborhood. I was even able to check out late to sign my lease. I left behind my cell phone charger but called the next morning to find that it was waiting for me at the front desk!! I was very pleased and give the highest possible recommendation!
