BEST WESTERN Northwest Indiana Inn

For $114 a night, you'd expect a little bit more. This is an old, tired hotel. No breakfast. Slow internet. Shampoo and liquid soap in dispensers in the shower. Really tacky. The TV had to be 10 years old. You can stay at the Super 8 next door for $41 a night.

Our hardest problem was finding the place even with our GPS! The road looked like it was going no where! But once there--the room was great, clean, quiet, comfortable. Staff were friendly! We did order a pizza from one of the local joints that delivers and this MUST be noted. I don't recall the name of the place but they have their menu in the resource book in the room. DO NOT ORDER from this place! It took 1 1/2 hours for the worst pizza to arrive.

The receptionist was friendly and accomidating. The lobby seemed to be filled with people just hanging around taliking loudly. It was like they had no place to go. my room was ok. nothing special. however the shower was not working well. I mentioned this to the receptionist. she gave a key to the repair man while i was there. i assumed he would go and fix it since he wasn't doing anything else. However, next day. shower is still not working well. For the money you pay for a room there, i would expect a lot more. i won't go back.

I was there for a quick visit with friends and family in the NW Indiana area. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, and I hope to do so again during future visits. It's a friendly, affordable hotel right off the main highway. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but good service and a comfortable room at a fair price. Hotel restaurant serves a hearty, inexpensive breakfast.

Clean, affordable, friendly, and comfortable hotel for those on the road or looking for a nice play to stay while in the Calumet Region. Only noticeable problem was cigarette smoke making its way into a non-smoking room. Would much prefer a non-smoking floor/wing rather than rooms alternating smoking and non-smoking on the same wing. Location requires accessing a side service road to get to the BW and a cluster of other motels. Nice little restaurant/coffee shop with big, inexpensive breakfasts. My visit coincided with a huge snowstorm that covered everything with ice & snow. Somehow when I walked out the hotel in the a.m., I found that my rental car and other vehicles had been cleared of snow & ice. I asked the girl at the desk if someone had done everyone that huge favor, and she kinda smiled and said maybe it just melted off and politely declined my tip.

At first the hotel was a bit average, unless you had to get a smoking room. In which case it smelled like someone dumped a whole bottle of cheap cologne. The thing that really killed it for me was the towel I was about to use to dry myself off with was previously used as a snot rag. If I hadn't of went to dry my face off 1st I wouldn't have noticed the "little friend" hanging out out few inches from my face. I went to notify the front desk, they went to the back room (I am guessing to tell the manager), returned to the desk and called the cleaning people. I thought it was to let them know of what happened, but nooo. It was to make sure I hadn't left the room in a mess (I had a dog). No manager came out, no sorry, no hint of any kind of a refund. In the end I did get $10 off for the night and an offer for a free beer if I came back. One of the girls behind the desk actually did seem to care, but her hands were tied on what she could do. The manager in the back however... I would have to say, I did like the restaurant.

Hotel was ok, I think it is a older Hotel so it didn't seem very nice for the cost.

I found the hotel very clean and quiet. It is somewhat out of the way, but since I am from the area I had no problem locating it. Access is off the main roads.

It was a very wonderful hotel. The only reason why I booked there was because my husband was booked there for an oritation for a new job he got. I did it as a suprise for him. I loved the room. It was a very nice roo,. It was perfect. This is one of the better hotels of Indiana!!!!!

While the location was not ideal being located along a sort of dark, winding road and near a strip club, the motel itself was clean, the room nicer than I expected.
