A Very Pleasent Stay
We brought the whole family to Upland for Thanksgiving. All five our our adult children, two spouses and two grandchildren crowded into our daughters and son in laws home, and we decided we'd stay at a nearby hotel. We selected this this hotel based on reviews here and on on other websites and we were glad we did. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was a step up from the typical carb heavy free breakfast (eggs and sausage were included, along with the Belgian waffle option, complete with fruit topping and whipped cream). WiFi was free and easy to use. A small, indoor heated pool was a nice treat for the grandkids one morning. A hot tub would have been nice, but remember, this is a Best Western Plus in Gas City IN, so I wasn't expecting it. Rooms included a fridge and a microwave. Good shower head and water pressure. My wife said several times "I'm glad we stayed here. It's a really nice hotel." One tip - you might ask for a room on the end of the hotel farthest from the Interstate to minimize the sound of semis driving by.

The best known restaurant in the area is Ivanhoes. It's a five minute drive, and a good place for a burger and your choice of 100 different kinds of sundaes and milkshakes.

Fantastic hotel
We had a great time! The hotel was nice and the rooms were big. The indoor pool was clean, convenient, and fun for all. They had a full breakfast for the guests. The staff were very nice and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stay was a "Plus"
Exactly what we needed for our stay. Rooms had a little hint of smoke in them which was too bad, but everything else was nice. I would argue it's the nicest hotel in the area. Plenty of restaurants nearby, right off I-69, and free breakfast in the morning was better than I anticipated. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and I was glad you didn't have to pay for internet service. I would definitely stay here again.

We miss Fairmount Indiana
Comfortable and restful stay
We were on a working trip - needing to work long days and rest well at night. We would get up and start again working hard the next day. We loved our room, the bed was very comfortable. The comforter on the bed was exceptional and we had extra pillows already on the bed! We felt like we were in heaven once we took a shower and laid down to rest. The room was extremely clean and well maintained too.

travelin' fun seekers
Great stay
We come to this area often to visit relatives. We have usually stayed at another hotel in the area, but decided to try this one. We are glad we did! It was clean, quiet, and friendly!

Try the hot dog stand just down the road toward Gas City. They have really good coney dogs!

This was the best Best Western I have stayed at. The staff was wonderful. The location was great. They had a very good breakfast.

A Fine Stop-over
We were hoping for a clean and convenient accomodations for our overnight stay. Our room was very clean and well laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable, an important feature for us. The staff was friendly and very professional. It was a very good night and morning for us.

Very clean and comfortable
The hotel was clean, quiet and nicely appointed. The beds were comfortable. We arrived late and left early so didn't take advantage of in-room microwave or fridge. The staff was pleasant. The free breakfast was the usual hotel fare of warm entree, breads, fruits and beverages. It was a great hotel for the price, and good location for a visit to nearby Indiana Wesleyan University.
