reliable, low price, clean and updated

Booked this room last minute and found the rate to be very competitive. Nicely appointed and updated rooms, very comfortable ... bed, flat screen tv, and a clean condition made my stay at the hotel relaxing and enjoyable.

I stayed at this hotel last year and found the room this time to be a better room. Although the ice machine was broken on our ... floor and when I went to the front desk to inform them, a woman walked out and shouted "Well, there's no ice in the lobby". This was a little offensive and uncalled for. I politely turned around and returned to my room. This may very well be the reason not to return again. After being on your feet all day at a convention and return to your "home away from home" and then being spoken to in that manner is the last phrase anyone wants to hear.

The price for being so close to downtown Louisville was unbeatable. The pool was also beautiful. Our only complaint was ... that our HVAC unit could have used cleaning (though this may have just been our room), as it put off a foul odor.

The room was clean and the staff was always friendly and helpful, even with the small things like area restuarants, area ... attractions, as well as the best ways to get somewhere. After five days a hotel room is always small, especially with 2 kids. The pool was clean and the mantience staff was seen doing their jobs professionally and were always courteous. If in the Louisville metro area I will stay here again, whether on business or pleasure. Although we chose to eat out in town most of the time we found the food in the restuarant to be excellent.

The staff was very pleasant. The room, while generally clean, had spider webs and bugs all stuck up around the window, one ... or two webs on the lamps, dirty windows, the non-smoking room smelled like smoke when entering. Also, the smoke detector went off when I turned the heat on before I went to bed, so I had to keep the heat off...probably the first cool spell they had in the Louisville, KY area. The A-wing is a distance from the check-in, so plan a walk or drive around coming and going to the front for check-out or breakfast (not included in price). The shower heads put out some nice water though.

The cost of the room was good for the area and the room was clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool water was dark green, ... the waterpark that is shown in the pictures was closed before the last week in August, and the restaurant was poor quality.

We were very dissatified with our stay. The rooms were very small and so were the beds. There was no complimentary breakfast ... either at the front desk nor in the dining areas. The elevators were too slow and so was the service. The hotel needs a serious upgrade in all areas.

We loved the pool...it was warm and uncrowded. The room lacked some-it wasn't spotless and it was pretty small, especially ... the bathroom. We ordered a roll away bed, and it took almost an hour to get it to our room, and then it was a broken one. I had to ask them to throw it out the next morning because it kept breaking on me!

Joes Crab Shack on the Ohio River just across the bridge into Louisville. Great food and service. Also, there is a good entertainment area on 4th st in Louisville. Many restaurants, dance floors, bars etc. Family friendly in the day time. Night time would be for couples and dating.
