Clean and convenient and quiet weekend in a college town
Comfy bed, clean room and good location- 15 minutes to campus- restaurants nearby- indoor pool and hot breakfast- Visited son on campus- My wife and I were pleased. I am frequent business traveler. This was decent. I am wary of weekend hotel stays in college towns but good news- no surprises here, no issues here, safe clean and generally pleasant

DIRTY!
My bed was dirty, my shower was dirty, and I also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was of course quite dirty. But at least they were nice enough to leave me the last guest's old food in the fridge. I tried to call down to request a new room, but of course, the phone in the room didn't work. And in the 4 times I walked by the front desk during the course of my one night stay here, the desk was empty with no staff in sight 3 of those times. In short, don't stay here.

Short, but nice visit.
The Jacuzzi in the room was a nice touch. Wish we had time to enjoy it!

Skip the breakfast
We visited the state park and the town of Bloomington. The television in our room was outdated, the sound was not good @ all. The carpet in our room was stained quite a bit. I think most of all the breakfast was sub-standard. We have stayed @ others similar hotels and the breakfast was much better. The eggs were runny, the hard boiled eggs were extremely hard and of odd texture. We went out to breakfast the second day. There was not any fruit offered either. I must say the staff was excellant!

Very clean and well maintained
The check in was a breeze and we were through and in the room in less than 5 min. We had a jacuzzi room for New years eve and were anticipating a nice romantic evening of dining and dancing followed by a relaxing soak. Only two things, and minor things at that, interrupted our evening. One the water never really got HOT for the hot tub. It got pretty warm but never hot. And yes it was cold outside and we did let the water run for a looooong time. The other, and this is me being petty, they say that if you forgot any of the amenities they'll be happy to have someone bring them up. Toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving cream etc... Well I did indeed forget my shaving cream and when I called to have some sent up they said they didn't have the personnel but I could come down and get them. So I redressed went down and retrieved my stuff an went back up and commenced to shaving. I was annoyed at the time and it still irks me somewhat. Petty, i know, but still. The biggest thing was the warm tub. It would be a lie to call it a hot tub. We paid a considerable amount extra for the jacuzzi and the lack of hot water was a let down. But overall it was very nice hotel and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was well maintained. Lots resteraunts around, close to highway, very convenient.
