Nice bed but needs some improvement
Their bed was super comfy and the room was nice and clean but there were a few problems during our stay. We arrived right after they stopped serving room service so my husband had to go downstairs to get dinner and bring it up to the room. After he signed the bill, the waiter gave him the food, drinks and receipt but not his credit card!! We didn't realize it until last night. We had to call and cancel the card and my husband called the manager of the restaurant last night to tell him what happened but he had to leave a message. No one returned his call.

Great location for IU visits
Great place to stay if you are interested in IU or Bloomington. Loved having free wiFi. The room was nice but needed some updating with the bed linens and shower curtain. Staff was helpful. Didn't like having to pay for parking.

friendly staff, comfortable rooms
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomington were exceptionally friendly, offered recommendations for dining that were top notch and made sure our trip was "perfect". It is conveniently located close to restaurants and within a short drive to IU campus. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Short walk from hotel
Bloomington Sandwich Co., Malibu Grill, and the Scholars Inn Bakehouse are all fantastic. Bloomington Sandwich does a half-sandwich combo that is fantastic for people who don't desire monstrous portions. The wine list at Malibu grill is small, but excellent. The menu has so many options, so for a group, or even for a couple, everyone's tastes can be met. The food at Upland Brewery is so-so, even borderline bad, but the beer is good, so you trade one for the other. Best advice, skip the gyro and go for the burger.

Enjoyable stay
Smooth as silk. We were in town for an IU game and the ease checking in and moving about was great. The self adjusting beds made for a very comfortable evening's stay.

Great Location
Excellent location: room was clean. Price was jacked-up for IU parent's weekend. I've stayed at the Marriot Courtyard down the road too. The Hilton is newer and nicer.

Convenient location
The hotel's location was an easy drive to Indiana University for daughter's Freshman Orientation. But the parking structure (which is behind the hotel) was in the process of being cleaned during our entire stay so you could not park on the first three floors. Had to drive over hoses and water every time we went in or out. Our room happened to be in a prime location to watch the 4th of July parade - unfortunately, the room windows were so dirty that is was difficult to see through. Otherwise, the room itself was comfortable and clean. They have a very nice breakfast buffet in the hotel as well as quite a few places to eat within walking distance.
