Holiday getaway

The front desk is outstanding. I made an error and booked a smoking room, when I asked for a different room, they immediately found me a new one. The breakfast is wonderful. The staff is great. Love the accent.

Lovely stop in a crowded town

This hotel has some of the nicest and most helpful staff. The location is a bit out of walking range of downtown, but the rooms are lovely and in 3 minutes by car one is in the heart of Bloomington and the IU campus. The free breakfast is varied. Everyone can find something to enjoy. You cannot beat this place for cleanliness.

Fantastic Staff

The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. I went to the reception desk to ask for coffee cups, since the maid forgot to leave them. The receptionist, in addition to bringing the coffee cups up to our room, also brought us some cookies, and a $10 gift card to Chili's, et al. She also brought a very nice card apologizing for neglecting to put new coffee cups in the room. I thought that was "above and beyond." My husband and I appreciated it. Everyone who we came in contact with was very friendly. I have never stayed at a Hampton Inn before, but it will definitely be a priority in the future. Thank you so much.

Great for campus visits

The room was clean and quiet. The ONLY negative was the pillows. Way too hard and uncomfortable. A variety of pillows (some soft, some firm) would have been a lot better.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Hotel is across from a long narrow park type median, where you can romp with your dogs (hotel is okay with pets) for both your exercise needs. They also have a gym, but swimming pool is outside and no spa.

Comfy beds and pillows

We came for a basketball game and the location was great, less than a mile to Assembly Hall. Fresh smelling linens and hallways, and the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever used! I am thinking of contacting them to see what brand they are so I can have them at home! Love the free hot breakfast in the morning too.

Time-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

Next time we come for a game, we will probably walk to Assembly Hall. The drive there was effortless, but getting back afterward took almost an hour bc of the traffic.

Hampton Inn

Easy in and out. Just stayed because there was "no room in the (family) inn." We have recommended the hotel when the next family gathering has too many people for our daughter's home.

A fine place for 8 hours rest

We arrived at 7 p.m. and left the next morning at 8:30. Everything was as it was supposed to be, and I would stay here again. We were in Bloomington for a tour of Indiana University, and the Hampton front desk person was able to answer my questions about where I needed to go in the morning. A map, with directions clearly marked to my destination, was provided.
