Nicer than expected
We were visiting for mom's weekend @ IU. The location is good but access is a little restricted due to road construction and it will be awhile before completion. The complimentary breakfast was above average and the room was very nice,nicer than we expected. The only complaint is the lawn mowing crew started very early and awoke us.There is free internet and a small work-out area.We stayed here because we were late in reserving [...]! I would stay here again. Everyone...guests and staff were nice and helpful.

Good for sleeping!
We attended the Hilly Hundred bicycle ride that started in Ellettsville, 7 miles west. Except for the traffic on Route 46 getting into and out of the motel, it was great. The staff was very freindly and helpful with local restaurants. For our purpose, the motel was very handy and easy to get to. I would and have recommended it to anyone to stay there.

Great but not centrally located
There was a basketball camp going on during our stay so it was a little loud due to late coming and going of teenagers. It was about 20 minute walk to central Bloomington, doable but not central. Bed was just ok. Breakfast was above average.

nice staff,clean room lacks soundproofin
The staff was very nice and location was good. The room was very clean but the noise from the others rooms was the main negative. Better soundproofing in order. Also the water was lukewarm at best.

Nice hotel. Convenient location
This hotel was very convenient to Bloomington Shuttle drop-off site. Very convenient to city bus line. Complimentary breakfast was fabulous. The only issue is that hotel staff were unable to answer question about transit system. Had to look it up online myself, then ask where the street was. I would stay here again though because everything else was great.

Bus stop is right on corner across parking lot. Easy cheap access to downtown and IU campus.

Great hotel with great staff
The hotel staff were great. The waffles in the morning were very delicious! We were able to use the breakfast room to play games in the evening, which was great since there were a lot of family members staying at the hotel.

3 stars is about right. it could use some upgrading in the public areas. the breakfast was OK, but don't expect a big buffet. Not as good as Holiday inn express.

we were there in last week of Oct andall stores were in the sales mode. the college mall was a very adequate mall with several big anchor stores. Kohls which is in a nearby mall to the hotel was very good for shopping. seniors discount on tues at college mall, wed. at kohls

Nice, clean and quiet!
The staff was really nice. The hotel was very quiet, most likely since the University was still on summer vacation. The hotel was easily accessible and clean. It was great for the price. The only minor issue was the Continental breakfast. The eggs were not appealing, but then again, most Continental breakfasts don't serve eggs. Great bargain!

OK Hotel
The hotel staff was very friendly. But for the price-$100. I was disappointed with the ammenities. They had a very small gym. They didn't have room service, cable, or even a DVD player or radio in the room. I had brought several DVDs and looked forward to kicking back and relaxing during down time. It was very clean. However, housekeeping never cleaned my room on the second day of my stay.

Drive into downtown Bloomington to some of the local restaurants. Don't stop at the Mall. There are a lot of chains there, but you won't experience the overall charm.
