The good, the bad and the really ugly.

We attended NOAC as guest of our grandson who received an award. The location was very close. The counter clerks were neat and spoke English. The motel didn't have any local papers or maps in the folders on their desks. The breakfast bar didn't have any fruit. The only coffee was regular. Our stay was disappointing for the cost. Not likely to return.

The mall was across town and opened at 10 AM. Churches were also across town. Very close to Indiana University.

"The good, the bad, and the really ugly"

Great location, quiet. Hotel is old and rundown and needs to be remodeled. Pool was out of service.

Country Hearth

My son was visiting Indiana University. THe hotel is not up to orbitz standards. It should be removed from the list. The pool has not been available for two years. The rooms smell, the hotel is dirty, the entrance doors are always open, no locks. It is a great location but not up to Orbitz standard. Rating of 1 is too kind, it should be uninhabitable.

No roaches...i guess thats a plus

I have never stayed at a hotel/motel/inn that was this repulsive. Imagine the worst apartment you can live in...thats what Country Hearth was like. Even the towel rack in the bathroom was crooked! I cant describe the stench of this place, in the room and out. Everything was broken and dirty. The bathroom floor was grimy and sticky. The only reason we stayed was that they wouldnt give us a refund and at midnight i didnt feel like looking for a hotel with an infant. We ended up taking our own sheets to cover the beds with so we could sleep at night. And first thing in the morning we left as quickly as possible. Honestly, the only good thing about this place was that we didnt see any roachs....let me stress the word SEE in that sentence!

can't think of anything nice to say!

Will never stay there again. Paid for 2 nights, but couldn't stay the second night. The place needs to be gutted. It felt like we were staying at a flop house. For the price....we got screwed!

Don't stay there. It's too bad because the location is a good one! Close to other hotels and restaurants, etc.

Worst hotel experience ever

Called ahead two days to confirm double beds instead of one queen-size (original reservation made 3 months prior was for double beds, we had three people to the room). Upon arrival, rude Indian manager says it's for single queen. Then he throws a fit and berates me for insisting on two double beds, literally insulting me, poking me in the chest and saying he refuses to talk to me because, "I don't understand his job." He repeatedly threatened to cancel my reservation, saying it's "hotel owner's right." I was being incredibly polite -- almost to the point of ridiculousness, since I didn't want the reservation canceled (we'd just driven for 9 hours to get there). It was actually only after I got angry and raised my voice to him that he relented and suddenly found a room with two double beds, but kept telling me about all the trouble I was causing (by expecting my pre-paid reservation to be honored). And all week whenever he saw me he would yell "Hey buddy!" and berate me some more, telling me about other guests he tried to screw over who were apparently more than happy to sleep on a bedspread on the floor (that's literally what he told me). It was so insane I can barely believe it happened. On top of all this the place is a smelly dump. Stains, falling apart, water damage everywhere, dirty and dingy. The a/c unit emitted an acrid burning smell every time it kicked on. I'll be writing letters to Country Hearth and the BBB.
