Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Waukegan/Gurnee

Really a good place to stay for NAVY graduation, shuttle to and from base at low rate. Walmart and restaurants tow blocks away; but the best was the staff, they go above and beyond for the guest

Stayed here while in town to see my son's Naval Graduation Ceremony. Really could not have asked for more helpful and friendly staff. Location was very convenient for us. We hadn't rented a car, and so walked to restaurants. $3 shuttle per person each way from hotel to Naval Base and return was very convenient. Room was very clean, neat, and comfortable. Maid service was very good. Nice pool and hot tub, indoors. Small fitness room. Nice Bistro in the lobby. Nice area also in lobby with computers to go online.

Had a great time at Courtyard. I would highly recommend to any families attending the Navy graduations. There is also a shuttle to and from graduation. I stayed only 2 nights but had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. Also it's right by Walmart and other restaurants.

The hotel accommodations were very efficient for our purpose in attending a military boot camp graduation. The staff was great and helpful. The hotel has a restuarant and snack shop fully stocked. The hotel partnered with a taxi service provided easy arrival to the base for the ceremony and then back to the hotel. The hotel's location is approximately 15 mins to the military bases, mall and walking distance to restuarants and WalMart. It made shopping easy.

IL taekwondo quilifiers where in Weakegan, I just need a hotel for 2 nights to rest. I visit this hotel with my wife & 2 daughters. 1 Lobby was in construction so only entrance is sitated in the other side. Only connection is between buildings is passing in front of the swiming pool, good thing is that I arrive late that night. 2 Internet conection is ok, business may not be fast specially connected VPN. 3 Breakfast place was clean, food in general ok. 4 Room 2 queen beds, clean and far from ice machine, I did rest as expected, good! 5 Check out, as expected I receive a bill under my door...excelent, just the information was missing 1 day of billing. SO I have to go back to the reception in the other side of the building. 6 People is friendly and helpful. 7 Since I was so tired I did left hotel at noon, instead of 11am, that was wonderful for me. Yes yes, I would stay again here, I hope construction is finished by that time :) .

I went for my sons boot camp graduation. The staff and hotel was very nice. They had an evening get together for the families and a brunch after the graduation. The taxi set up by the hotel was $3.00 per person each way. Take it however be sure to get the same company on the way back as we did not and was charged more than double- no fault of the hotel. We went the the Shedd Aquarium and to the musuem. The people in Chigago were all great and we had a great time. The only problem we had was our flight was delayed , and delayed and cancelled. We were told after the plane landed that we did not have a pilot. United said it was due to the weather and we had to pay for another night at a different hotel - discounted rate. This time it was the Hyatt Regency near the Airport, extremly nice hotel BTW.

Visited Waukegan to attend son's PIR. Courtyard by Marriott was easy to find, surrounded by a number of eating places (including a Starbucks right next door!), and was in close proximity (10 minutes) to the Navy base and other areas of interest. The hotel provided PIR information packet and the staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and smelt fresh. The food and service at breakfast was good. The sofa bed was even comfortable. We were impressed!

One night, stay for a conference at Lake County Committee College. Nice room we received a free upgrade and a 20% discount at a locial steak house. Steven's had excellent food at reasonable prices.
