One good turn, deserves another

This is the second time we've stayed here and were very pleased both stays. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect location for our purpose. Amenities met all of our needs and then some. All this and a bag of microwave popcorn too. Thanks Candlewood. We will be back.

If you can't find food in this area, you are not looking. Across the street are a few to start with, but within a 10 min drive is a smorgasboard of ethnically rich restaurants. Mexican as good as south of the border, Giordano's pizza without driving into Chicago, sushi buffet, you name it.

Impressive

The studio room was perfect for our needs. The bed was comfortable but seemed small possibly a full size? The night staff were very helpful and gave us tips on the local scene. Carmen, one of the night staff, was extremely helpful and personable. We left feeling like we were valued. We plan on staying at Candlewood hotels for our next vacations!

Jimano's Pizza is the best!! They have a Gluten-Free pizza crust and will put anything/everything on it. They take great care in making sure there is minimal cross contamination.

Clean & comfortable w/friendly staff!

The small suite was perfect for one person, very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt safe and had a great nights rest. The only thing that I would have preferred was to have their exercise room, which I did use, in a separate location from the room with washers & dryers. It made the exercise room too warm for a good workout.

Great room

Made own breakfast, was able to take care of myself. Room was well equipped for hadicapped person. I did not get scalded in the shower as I did on my last trip.

OK....

The place is newish and clean. Realize it's an extended stay place so no daily cleaning and not much service available. We had some trouble with Internet conncection: wireless was almost non-existent and the wired connection in our room was disconnected (reconnecting ourselves didn't help much).

We enjoyed visiting the nearby town of Libertyville. The "infrastructure" across the street from the hotel is a little hit or miss - I couldn't even get a newspaper there!

Candlewood Rooms are nice

happy with Clean room and friendly staff and close to navy base convenient to nice restaurants and super wal-mart. no pool or daily room service

Good Service

Very good place to stay for Navy Boot Camp Graduations. The staff help is in a pinch when we needed maps for attractions etc. They know and understand the needs of military families. The Candlewood cupboard was a big help in having a way to make homemade meals in the room at a very reasonable price. It was our 2nd stay at this hotel and we would put this location at the top of our list if staying in the area again.
