Ramada Urbana/Champaign

I stayed here during Illinois Marathon weekend. I just needed a clean, quiet, convenient location to spend Friday night between the Friday evening 5k and the Saturday morning 10k events. Hotel is fine. Nice to have a fridge and microwave. When checking in, I received a gift bag with two bottles of water and some snack bars, which was a nice touch. Their registration system seems to very quite slow, both when checking in and checking out (like the computer program is not set up to be user friendly).Would stay there again.

Had booked a room online. Room on first day smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Questionnaire from previous guest was still on night stand. Staff was somewhat friendly.

I have stayed in Ramada's in the past, and I have been pleased, but the Ramada in Urbana is less than par. The staff was creepy. The breakfast sucked and did not taste very good. The bed was very uncomfortable. When I booked I asked for a king, non smoking. When I arrived the clerk gave me a queen, non smoking. The TV did not work and the micro-fridge made loud sounds throughout the night. I do not recommend staying here.

We arrived and check in was efficient especially since we arrived early. The whole time the staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was good and the room was clean.

The reviews made me think I might be pleasantly surprised, well the best thing going for this hotel was the location. Real close to the U of I campus, besides that the hotel pretty much was underwhelming, from the hotel staff to the pool. there were some nice employees but the guy that first checked me in was a jerk. Stay at the holiday in next door is my suggestion.

Friendly front desk staff. nice pool and hot tub .Breakfast lady was extremely rude. Breakfast was good if you can avoid her long enough to enjoy it. Beds were comfortable.Rooms are nice overall a good place to stay

We were in town for an event and had many choices as to where we could stay. I was very happy with this hotel. The price, convenience and cleanliness were very good. My only wish was there would have been more restaurant choices closer to this hotel.

Everything was very nice except the manager insisted that I pay a $20 fee for my service dog for cleaning even before she had checked to see if they had made any mess. My service dog is used to traveling and being in motels, and does not mess anything up. For that reason I will never stay at a Ramada again.

The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly. Check-in and check-out were really fast. Hotel was close to U of I campus and highway. The bed was really, really comfortable. However, other nearby hotels are much nicer and up-to-date. Good for the price, but if you're planning to stay more than a night and looking for something nicer, check out other options.

We stayed here to watch our son play football. We figured anywhere would be okay for a night. What a surprise to find that although only a 2-star hotel, it was more comfortable than many we have stayed in. Everything was spotless, heat worked quietly and well, beds were exceedingly comfortable, and I would like to purchase a couple of the wonderful pillows. As a bonus, the breakfast was very good for this type of hotel. I would definitely go back again.
