Americas Best Inn and Suite Urbana

So in your mind you're thinking, "3 star reviews, I only need one night with a roof over my head"..... Please look elsewhere, and if the only option is not having a roof over your head, maybe consider the park bench if its not too cold out. The owner is probably doing the best he can with a building that should probably be demolished. It's an eyesore as it is with the name on the garish sign not even matching the name of the business. The rooms are a time capsule from the day it was built many decades ago. Everything is old, nothing is new. There are some odd smells to the place that seems to change as you walk from the check in, to the hallway, to the room. I was afraid to put my head on the pillow which had an odor of the last guest, so I wrapped it in my sweatshirt. Placed my bag on the wood table to avoid the carpet and bed. The walls are thin, the noise from the hall was annoying as people moved around, and the coke machine and ice machine sound like an engine without a muffler. This is the kind of place you see in movies where criminals hide out and swat teams kick down the doors. You're going to be driving to where you are going from here anyway, so just get a good deal off the highway a few miles away. How this gets any positive reviews I have no idea.

This was labeled a 3 star. Not even close. It is a place people that cannot assistance go to sleep. I will never stay there again, even though it was close to the hospital. I would take it off your site.
