Short stay. OK for the price. The bed cover was not the cleanest, although the sheets had been cleaned.

Basic, clean but not for extended stay.
We were in town for family emergency. Needed a place for six nights. Super 8 was not what we were expecting [...]. We were expecting a king bed - got a queen. There were only two pillows on the bed and no extra blankets. There was no place for our luggage. We put one on top of the other on top of a chair. There was a shelf with six hangers on it for clothes. I asked for more hangers and was given two more. I also asked for an iron and ironing board. We were given a table top ironing board but I had no place to put it other than on the floor. The room was very small and the hotel seems old. It would be fine for an overnight stay. It was clean. Conveniently Located
We booked 3 rooms at the Motel to attend a family reunion in South Elgin. Our room was clean with only the basics, bed, desk and hair dryer. We were located next to the elevator, noisy all night.

St Charles is a charming area. There are several wonderful restaurants nearby in downtown St. Charles along the Fox River.

Everything was nice and clean and I really rest sleeping there.Parking was very large and a lot af stores around.

Excellent Condition
The staff was very friendly, the room was spotlessly clean. Nice coffee maker in room with Gormet Coffee was a very nice touch. Room temperature was excellent - weather was very chilly mornings and hot afternoons but the room was always comfortable. Great location - everything was within short driving distance. Continental Breakfast was excellent. Staff was always there to help with anything. Would definitely seek out Motel 8 again.

Many wonderful restaurants near by. Many local theatre groups that are very good and so welcoming to travelers. Many historic sights and marvelous equestrian facilities just a short drive away if that is your interest.

Very satisfied
If you are looking for a cheap hotel that you just plan on using for sleeping at the end of a long day touring the sites of Geneva/St. James, then this is a good option. Conveniently located on Main St., this offers easy navigation to and from the local sites.
