Bait and switch
Buyer beware. Inaccurate description of room and amenities, topped off with front desk chicanery define this tourist trap. I was handed a key card with room 206 marked out and substituted for 161. Rooms 200-220 are the newer (I'm guessing decent) rooms. 161 was a 4 min walk to a 1960s, 35$ room with no internet, a musty smell that could not be cleared by the 1980's air conditioning unit, and a motel 6 interior (not dirty, not too scandalous, but not near the 3 digit price tag). Pool closed in 80 weather; breakfast ok. All in all: untrustworthy owners, displaying 20 rooms and selling 200.

Convenient location
We were working everyday on a film location for a week. While there was no in-house restaurant the hotel did provide a complimentary breakfast buffet and was conveniently located to many stores and restaurants needed to support the crew. Parking was always available near an entrance which allowed me safe and quick access to my room late night/early morning after work. The only regret I have was not being able to visit downtown St. Charles!

Great place to stay
We were in St. Charles for the Bloomington Gold Corvette show. The room was clean, the staff was great, the breakfast was good. No complaints. We didn't use the pool or fitness room, so no comments on those areas, but we had a great time. We will stay there again next year!

Wonderful stay!!
Our stay was for 2 nights.We were very pleased with the clean rooms, large bath for the handicapp, and the NEW mattresses we slept on. We couldn't ask for more for the price. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We highly recommend this Holiday Express.

Nice, quiet stay at this hotel
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. The room was very clean, the hotel was quiet and the staff was courteous. The breakfast bar in the morning was well stocked and the food was fresh and good. I would stay here again.
