Hot Ants
ANTS!
First room assigned had an army of ants along the baseboards from the refrigerator to the window. We noticed it within minutes, surprised the cleaning staff missed them. The front desk clerk was very professional and immediately assigned a different room. That room was clean and ant free, but the AC unit would not operate on high. The exterior temperature was well over 90 degrees and the room never reached a comfortable temperature. $10 more we could have stayed at a nationally known hotel chain with higher quality rooms and amenities. Lesson Learned!

Great History Lesson
We found the hotel to be very accomodating. The staff was knowledgeable and gave us great directions wherever we were going. The breakfast was delicious. I would share your hotel's name with any of my friends.

Beautiful and Comfortable!
I found the Northfield Inn and Suites very welcoming. I was not able to completely take in it all, because I became ill. They allowed us to stay past the check out time. The beds were very comfortable too! I liked that it was off the main road. Hoping to go back for a pleasure trip to enjoy the sights in the area.

Great one night stay
Wife and I stayed just one night. This worked perfect for us, nice king room suite. Everything was in order and comfortable for us. TVs need updating, but plenty of channels. Breakfast was average for this type of place but just fine for us. We'll stay here again.

This was one of the nicest and cleanest places I have stayed in. The room was huge and spotless. The staff was very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend this place and definitely stay there again.

We stayed here on 07/14/11. The hotel was nice. Fridge and microwave. Everything was pretty new. Didn't like the fact there were no windows that could be opened. The rooms smelled like stale air. Maybe the second floor rooms had windows. We were on the first floor. Breakfast wasn't bad. Unfortunately the hotel was full of children between 11 and 13 who were in Springfield for some sports tournament. They were running around in the hallways on the first and second floors, laughing loudly, yelling and slamming the doors to their rooms. I called the reception desk several times but they couldn't make them stop. I had to go out in the hallway several times and tell the children I will call the police on them so they finally cut out their ludicrous behavior at 11:30 pm. Very frustrating experience. I don't blame the hotel management. I couldn't believe the adults who were supposed to supervise this big group of children. How in the world could they let the kids behave like a bison herd?!

Short drive from hotel
All restaurants close at 3 pm. I called the reception desk asking about several of the restaurants Downtown and they weren't really sure of the restaurants' hours. There was nothing online either. When we finally got frustrated, drove Downtown and walked around, we saw that everything but Cold Stone and Subway had closed at 3 pm. And they are all closed on Sunday.

Wonderful place to stay!
Our room was very large and clean. Breakfast was very good. I always appreciate fresh cut-up fruit. I will definitely stay there again!

Great hotel
