We were at a convention at a nearby hotel and we prefer to stay at Comfort Inn. We have stayed here before and they did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and competent, The food was good, the room comfortable, what more could we want?

On business
I've stayed here several times. It's getting older, and this time I stayed on third floor. The room smelled awful! I went across to a store and purchased room deodorizer and sprayed. I ended up spraying about every hour of the night so that I could sleep. Not sure what smell was. DVD player didn't work. Front desk was kind in bringing another.

Very nice hotel
I have stayed at the Comfort Suites in Springfield many times and have always enjoyed my stay. The room is always clean, the staff is always friendly, the breakfast is good, just a great place to stay.

motorcycles and lincoln!
We came to Springfield to attend the Springfield Mile motorcycle races over the Labor day weekend, and to see the Lincoln sites. Though we ride, we were in our car this trip and of course delighted to see so many bikes in the hotel lot. As always, the bikers were friendly, fun, clean and quiet. They even helped us sing 'Happy Birthday' to our ten year-old son at breakfast. The hotel was just what we expected; clean, convenient, and comfortable. Just a short hop both to the track and to the great Lincoln Museum and home. They serve a nice little DIY breakfast buffet and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. My only two complaints were that the hot water pooped out late Monday afternoon when we were seemingly the only guests left in the hotel, and the poor sweet lady who helped with / took care of the breakfast area wore so much perfume that we opted for breakfast out on the second morning. I didn't want to get into it or stir it all up so I told neither she nor mgmt, but I promise her scent was overpowering throughout the dining area. She was so sweet and helpful, but I just couldn't eat in the midst of her cologne.

The Illinois State Fairgrounds and the truly wonderful Lincoln Museum are only a short drive north on Busn' Rte 55

Excellent service!
I was very happy with the service and location. An unexpected surprise came, when I walked into the bathroom and found a whirlpool tub. After a very long drive, it was a great relaxing finish to my day. The room was nice and clean, and the clerk gave me a free pass to the Gold's Gym for a morning workout. I highly recommend staying here!
