Candlewood Suites SPRINGFIELD

Staff was superb! I was travelling with children so having a fully functional kitchen in the room was perfect! They loved the complimentary microwave popcorn, too. I will certainly look to stay here again.

The hotel was very comfortable and well located. It is directly off Interstate 55 and in an area where you can walk to several restaurants. The rooms were nice and had very comfortable beds. We had a little trouble getting the air/heat to work right (it was a touch panel screen which was new to us). Overall, a great value in a good location!

Awesome hotel, very clean, staff very helpful, wonderful location. Beds are very very soft, you won't want to go home. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

My cousin and I were driving Route 66 from Chicago to Oklahoma City. Springfield was a great first night stop. This was a new motel, so we had high expectations. It was bad from the start. It was pouring rain and the building has no covered entry to pull into to check in or unload luggage from the car. The desk clerk was unfriendly and uncaring. When I booked the room, I apparently misread that we would get breakfast of some kind and that the property had a pool. There was neither one, except we could purchase food for breakfast from their store and make it ourselves. The room was nice, but was very hot. The information on the thermostat said that their system knew when we were in the room and would adjust after we'd been there 15 minutes. We waited and nothing happened to start cooling it off. I called the front desk and they told me to adjust how to adjust the thermostat to our desired temperature. Still nothing. We opened the window in hopes that that would help. We then left to visit with a local friend and have dinner. When we returned the room temperature was still the same. I turned on the under the window air conditioner, which had printed on it that the temperature was controlled by the wall thermostat. We went to bed then. When we awoke in the morning the temperature had never changed. We packed up quickly and left. The desk clerk was again unfriendly, with no "thank you for staying with us" or anything when I handed in the keys. I will never consider staying in a Candlewood Suites again.

You must pick this hotel! You could live here, for real! We came to Springfield for a cat show and pets are allowed. There was a dog show in town too and we saw dogs coming into the hotel but you didn't even know they were there. The rooms were very clean. You have a full fridge, stove top, sink, you name it. The coolest thing was the Mini store! You can buy pops, milk, microwave food etc. I loved it! I'm always going to look for Candlewoods from now on....
