Enjoyed my stay!
I like that it has a kitchen and dishes to cook if you want to. It was pet friendly which is important for me, although they were gonna charge me an extra fee, but end up waiving it. The room I booked said pet friendly. The rooms could use some updating and repairs.

Good Place for Longer Stays
The rooms are essentially studio apartments. They have a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, two burner stove, microwave, cups and plates, silverware, coffee pot, etc. Stays of less than a week do not get maid service, you have to haul the trash and change out the linen yourself. For the money you save, this is a fair trade. The bed was OK, the pillows a little flat; bring your own. Shower was OK. Being able to buy groceries locally and cook in the room saves lots of $$$ and time. If you will be staying in the Rockford area for 5 days or more, this is a good deal.

Somewhat lacking
Check-in went smoothly with a very late arrival. The room was small and the beds reasonable. Ammenities like shampoo were lacking. Large cobwebs clung in the ceiling corners. It seemed like anytime someone flushed upstairs the toilet ran. We left early the following morning.

Very average accommodation.
I found this to be a very average hotel. The bed was hard, the television was an older 19" TV, the pillows were flat. The staff was helpful and accommodating which made it a better experience. As a casual leisure traveler, I found this to be just adequate.

I love the Stone Eagle Tavern in Rockford. Have eaten there every time I go to town. Large menu, reasonably priced and great staff. Always a line and worth the wait.

Visiting Rock Cut State Park
I was on a bicycle trip to Rock Cut State Park where I had intended to camp. In an ultralight backpacking tent. With a very thin sleeping bag and ground pad. The park fee was $12 per night. Then the weather was predicted to be cold and wet. For $45 per night total, I got a suite with stove, fridge, comfortable recliner and cable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had. The hotel was clean and quiet. Great place.

The sports bar at the Holiday Inn one block away has great food and a wine list from the upscale dining room adjacent to the sports bar.

Good Value
I was very surprised to find a full size refrigerator with a micro wave and electric stove. This was very convenient. The beds were not the best, but that being said, I would stay at an Extended Stay Motel again.

Not worth the value
The room was very uncomfortable and the room had no towels or was I provided w/any shampoo. It was very drab. Everything was white and the bed and recliner was extremely uncormfortable. For claiming to be an extended stay it sure didnt provide the atmosphere to stay there. I would not want to spend any extended time at the extended stay in rockford. Horrible staff and hotel.
