Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Rock Falls, IL

If you are going to be in this area, this is a GREAT hotel. This hotel is very clean, friendly, and comfortable. It felt like home from the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the counter person. I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling to this area.

I've stayed at this motel many times in the past. This time I had a handicapped room (all that was available, I guess) and can't say I liked the small counter space around the sink. The hand held shower head in the tub was great though. I've always been very pleased with this motel.

I was glad that the cleaning staff didn't begin their day at 7AM, as do many other hotels. Continental breakfast was great as were the ladies who worked in the breakfast area.

i was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the hotel and the comfort of my stay...very comfortable beds...had a great night sleep.

Trip included visiting family and friends. Room was clean and updated and had all the amenities you would want -- refrigerator, microwave, etc. The beds were a little hard, but managible. This property was ordinary, but not as good as some of the other properties we stayed in.

The hotel was really clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was well stocked with eggs, waffles, and oatmeal. We would stay again!

For a small town, this motel had much of what one would expect in a larger location. Nice in-door pool for family and children. Clean and hot breakfast.

Best place to stay in Rock Falls, hands down. I've stayed here many times and it is always clean and updated. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's not a resort, it's not the RItz, it has some flaws. But then I'm sure you're not in Rock Falls expecting any of that. It works for single traveler's as well as families, close to the Interstate and in the same parking lot as Candlelight Inn. There's a Wal Mart nearby which really makes it conveniently located when you need some essentials or want to stock your mini fridge. My only complaint with this place is their wacky rate schedule. Each day is priced differently and the standard published rate is higher than the same brand property in Schaumburg (this ain't Schaumburg)! To be honest it torques me off that they gouge you so much but when you're the best place in town I guess you get away with that. From my experience you will NOT get the best rate through the corporate website. You need to shop around quite a bit for a good deal which you can find. Shop early and smart and this place will be worthwhile.

Shower would not drain, Toilet would barely work. No towel or maid service during the stay.

If you're looking to visit Chicago, but you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of actually staying in the metro, Rock Falls is a couple of hours away, nice rural setting, enough to do in town and in Sterling which is less than 20 minutes away. The staff was very friendly, there's a gameroom for the kids, and the indoor pool and the hot tub are great for relaxing after a workout in the fitness center.
