Horrible horrible horrible!
This very run down place was under construction. We witnessed the construction in our room. There was paint splattered all over the old stained carpet and curtains. The room stunk of who knows what and the partical cheap furniture was broken. Management was very rude and was unwilling to do anything.

Just a place to sleep
Upon arrival, the hotel seemed pretty nice. At check in the desk attendant was helping get towels rather than checking us in, in our room there was toilet paper and trash in the sink, friends in another room found candy in thier pillow and the deck clerk said it wasnt his problem that it was housekeeping. Very rude and un willing to help. Will not be staying there again.

The staff at the front desk were just there to check you in. Staff wasn't anymore happy that you chose to stay with them or the hotel next door. My husband and I travel alot and have for vacation, so we have stayed at a variety of hotels and resorts. This hotel wasn't a five star but when staff are excited that you showed up to their hotel can make a diffence. The room was average, clean but carpet was duck taped between the bathroom floor and the bedroom. You can hear the highway noise in your room and people and kids running up and down the hallway. The Continental breakfast was below average, displaying breads, hard boilded eggs, two cereal selections with milk, coffee, wafals you make yourself. Problem is you have all the kids, adult unattended making wafals that take 5 minutes or so to make. I waited 35 minutes before I could get one made. Was tired of waiting and decided to split it with my husband getting cereal and three boiled eggs and returned to my room. The bed was nice and comfortable. Upon leaving our room we did get a cheerful good morning from a young housekeeper that was African American. That made my morning. The other staff need to smile more. Other than that not bad for the price.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Crusens is a bar down the street that has live bands that sometimes plays anything from 80's to now music. Reasonable bar food does have an outside smoking area.

Disappointing
The toilet was running, the air conditioner knob was broken, the refrigerator was so loud it sounded like a helicopter. The window had a large crack in it. All the items were reported after the first night of a three night stay. The issues were never repaired.

Nice place for the price!
Large room with lots of lights, along with microwave and fridge. Nice pool. Computer room with multiple computers, printer, fax machine. Good breakfast including make-your-own waffles and hard boiled eggs, and it's available until 10 am! Access road alongside the interstate is a bit confusing, but the location is good.

I WOULD PREFER TO HAVE HAD YOGURT INSTEAD OF THE HARD BOILED EGGS FOR BREAKFAST CHOICE.

It was OK
Hotel location is great. Very close to shopping, dinning and local bars. EZ access to Highway! Hotel is Ok, although it looks and feels like a hotel. Carpet was little dirty and peeling off. Rooms are little small and may need some refinishing. Indoor pool is pretty nice but cold. Definitely the exercise room needs some maintenance; only 1 machine out of 3 works. Overall, price is good ... but you get the same at a motel.

Bummer
The room and entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. There were problems with the checkout and they were unable to print our receipt. During our second day of the stay, other guests walked right into our room while we were there - they had been given a key to our room while we were still there.

Staff was uniquely kind. we had some gross, burnt papers in our microwave, but the girl at the desk was very friendly and cleaned it right up! The pool was very cold, but was remarkably clean. Had some trouble with check-in with our cards, but all was cleared up.

Conveniently close to two huge malls and the museum is right down the road! Several restaurants nearby and within walking distance as well.
